At Harrison Spinks, we believe your sleep deserves the best. That’s why every mattress in The Bed Tailor Collection is handcrafted using natural, healthy materials like British wool, homegrown hemp, and flax linen - designed to give you the most comfortable and restful night’s sleep. We take care of every detail, from growing our own comfort fillings on our Yorkshire farm to weaving fabrics in-house and crafting our own award-winning springs. It’s this dedication to quality that makes our beds truly different. Because at Harrison Spinks, we don’t just make beds - we tailor sleep to you.
HANDMADE BY ARTISANS
Handmade by artisan bedmakers, our Harrison Spinks beds are lovingly put together using time-honoured techniques.
Our family of craftsmen and women hand sew, side stitch and tuft our mattresses, while our mattress ticking is woven on our own looms.
Our bases and headboards use only FSC® certified wood, supporting responsible forestry and are all upholstered by hand.

No one loves wool, like we love wool. Your bed doesn’t start out life in a factory, but on a farm.
A 300 acre farm in North Yorkshire to be precise, where we rear our own happy sheep on our rich, untreated pastures.
Being passionate members of the British sheep-farming community, it’s important to know where every fleece comes from. So, in addition to wool from our farm, we were the first bedmaker to partner with British Wool to use 100% traceable homegrown wool.

Investing in state-of-the-art looms and reigniting the long tradition of weaving in the area, we are the only UK bedmaker to weave our mattress fabric. Our exclusive FabriSafe™ cloth is unlike any other bed fabric.
Made with quality wool yarn and natural viscose, its unparalleled soft, breathable and luxurious qualities are perfect next to your body. But that’s not the only reason we weave our own. Made with a high wool content, it’s naturally fire-retardant. By removing the need to add potentially harmful fire retardant treatments, we’ve created a safe sleep surface designed for a peaceful night’s sleep.

Always ambitious, we set our sights on creating a revolutionary spring core that offered not only superior support, but is also capable of being recycled too. After five years of development, Cortec™ was born.
The first ever spring system to unite comfort and sustainability seamlessly.
NATURALLY LUXURIOUS COMFORT
Wool was an easy choice for our beds — soft, springy, breathable and naturally fire retardant. It helps regulate temperature year-round, keeping you comfortable in every season. We use only the finest British wool in our hand-blended fillings and homewoven fabrics, so there’s no need for added FR chemicals.
Softer and smoother than wool, its fine silky texture gives it a more luxurious feel. Mohair shares the beneficial properties of wool but with added sumptuousness.
BRITISH WOOL
Soft, springy and naturally supportive, wool keeps you warm and dry, helping to regulate body temperature. It’s also antibacterial and inherently fire-retardant so there’s no need to use FR chemicals in any of our filling pads. British wool is from British Wool’s Traceable Wool scheme.
CASHMERE
We’ve partnered with a luxury accessories manufacturer to upcycle their clean high quality textile offcuts to use in our mattress fillings. Known for its supreme softness, cashmere is warm and lustrous but highly resilient.
YORKSHIRE WOOL
With all the same properties of British wool, Yorkshire wool is sourced from local farms.
BRITISH WHITE WOOL
From the distinctive British White sheep, prized for their creamy white fleeces and gentle nature, this wool is soft yet durable, with a fine crimp for natural loft and spring. Its breathable fibres regulate temperature, keeping you cool in summer and warm in winter.
MOHAIR
MORE NATURAL FILLINGS MEAN A MORE LUXURIOUS FEEL
When it comes to your comfort, you can’t have too much of a good thing. For us, that means using the finest natural fillings and materials.
We grow hemp and flax on our farm, and carefully source other fillings that are fully traceable and ethically sourced, ensuring the highest standards of quality. These fibres are blended in our factory, where we craft each bed to deliver exceptional comfort and luxury.
Hemp is known for its durability, breathability, and antimicrobial properties, making it an excellent filling. It naturally repels bacteria, mould, and allergens, promoting a healthier sleeping environment. Additionally, hemp is one of the most sustainable natural fibres, growing rapidly with little environmental impact.
Flax is an exceptionally strong and durable fibre. It naturally resists moisture, helping to keep our mattresses fresh and dry. As a sustainable crop that requires minimal water, flax is a perfect alternative to cotton.
The strongest of the natural fibres, with excellent moisture absorbing qualities making it perfect for regulating body temperature.
Often thought of as a man-made fibre, viscose is a cellulose derived from the wood pulp of eucalyptus, beech and pine trees. Viscose is a versatile and lightweight fibre that is breathable and highly absorbent, helping you have a fresh night’s sleep.
BCI COTTON
Soft and durable, cotton has strong moisture-wicking properties.
BCI cotton is cotton that’s grown using the Better Cotton Initiative’s sustainable farming practices. This includes training farmers to use less water and fewer pesticides.

CORTEC ™ QUAD REVOLUTION ® POCKET SPRINGS
Cortec™ Quad Revolution® combines two springs in one — a smaller spring nested inside a larger one. The outer spring offers gentle comfort, while the inner spring provides secondary support exactly where it’s needed, helping to maintain natural spinal alignment throughout the night.
