"We bogeyed 1, birdied 9 and parred everything else," said Sciantarelli. "We did have some great putts to save par."
The group had players of all levels, so even beginners who were still perfecting their ball striking felt they contributed on the greens. "Everybody was happy they could contribute. It was a lot of fun," Sciantarelli said.
As pleased as she was with her group's win, Sciantarelli was also pleased with the turnout of 14 golfers and how the WGA now has about two-dozen members. "We're coming back from the pandemic. This is the first year for the WGA in a couple of years. We had eight at our first meeting in January and we were happy with that. But now we have about 20-25 members at all levels," she said.
The next WGA play day is Thursday, July 20 at 5:30 p.m.
