TRANSLATED & INTERNATIONAL FICTION AND NON-FICTION 2024

INTRODUCTION Welcome to Harper360’s first translated and international fiction and nonfiction catalogue. With growing interest from both booksellers and readers in stories from international voices, we felt now was the perfect time to showcase our extensive list of new and backlist titles covering a wide breadth of fiction and non-fiction genres. The books featured in this catalogue have either been translated from a range of languages including Korean, Japanese, Italian, French, Chinese and Spanish, or were originally published in English in the author’s home countries, including Nigeria, Mexico, Australia, Ghana and India. Releasing this year we’re hugely excited to be publishing acclaimed translator Anton Hur’s debut novel Toward Eternity, “a deftly crafted vision of a yet unimaginable future”. Coming in March, Elyse John’s lyrically poetic gender-flipped Greek myth retelling Orphia & Eurydicius has already captivated Australian readers, with Sunday Times bestselling author Bea Fitzgerald calling it “A cleverly conceived and lyrically crafted reimagining”. Reminiscent of Nabokov’s Lolita and Elizabeth Russell’s My Dark Vanessa, Lin Yi-Han’s debut and only published novel Fang Si-Chi’s First Love Paradise has sold over a million copies in its original Mandarin Chinese edition, and following the authors untimely death shortly after publication has prompted essential discussions in Taiwan around consent, rape culture, the pressures of femininity, and the continued consequences of toxic masculinity.

Some of our highlighted bestselling backlist titles include Tomihiko Morimi’s The Tatami Galaxy and its sequel The Tatami Time Machine Blues, Won Pyung-Sohn’s Almond and Gail Tsukiyama’s The Color of Air. If you’d like more details on any of the titles featured please contact us directly. If you're a bookseller, please talk to your local HarperCollins Sales Manager or contact HarperInsider (for Waterstones, Foyles and Blackwell's) or IndieThinking (for independent bookshops).
