Harford Dance Theatre will hold auditions for Harriet’s Happiest Halloween on Saturday, June 17th, 2023.
Auditions will be held at the Susquehanna Dance Studio [Room 212] on the campus of Harford Community College.
Registration begins at 9:30 AM
Auditions will be held from 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM
Any callbacks will take place 1:00-1:30 PM
Performance Dates: October 12-15, 2023
* Dancers 13 years of age and older may audition.
* Dancers should wear appropriate dance attire and bring dance shoes for all styles of dance for which they wish to be considered. Combinations will be taught at the audition.
Austin Barnes (Bobby, Emcee US) is thrilled returning to PFT’s stage for this amazing production. Most recently Austin played Lefou in Beauty and the Beast. Some of Austin’s favorite roles include Rum Tum Tugger in Cats, Tunny in American Idiot, Judas in Jesus Christ Superstar, Luke in Altar Boyz, and Davey in Newsies. Outside of theater, Austin is a special educator for HCPS and a photographer. He wants to thank the production team and cast for a wonderful experience.
Katherine Boyce (Fraulein Schneider) is thrilled to make her PFT debut in Cabaret. She can be seen this summer in Into the Woods (Stepmother, Witch U/S, RMT) and Agnes of God (Mother Miriam Ruth U/S, MTC). Previous roles include Mrs. Sowerberry/Bedwin (Oliver, Annapolis Shakespeare), Leïla (Les Pêcheurs de perles, Bel Cantanti), Lucia (Lucia di Lammermoor, Center Stage Opera PA), Olympia (Les Contes d'Hoffman, CSO PA) Pamina (Die Zauberflöte, TU), Little Red (Little Red Riding Hood, Annapolis Opera), Amelia (The Jolly Roger, New Old Theatre Baltimore). Primarily a classical vocalist and private vocal instructor, Katherine received her BM in Vocal Performance from the Eastman School of Music and her MM from Towson University. Lindsey Marie (Chanteuse, Texas, & US Fraulein Kost) is thrilled to return to PFT for Cabaret! Among Lindsey’s favorite roles at PFT is understudying Jane Porter in Tarzan. Most recently, Lindsey has played Bombalurina in Cats and Doralee Rhoades in 9 to 5 the Musical (Tidewater Players), as well as Extraordinary Girl in American Idiot (Streetlamp Community Theatre) and Sheila Franklin in HAIR (UCLA). Two special, earlier roles of Lindsey’s include Ariel Moore in Footloose and Betty Haynes in White Christmas (John Carroll). Lindsey cannot wait to take the stage in her next adventure. Melanie Marcotte (Heidi) is thrilled to be back on her home stage in the Chesapeake Theatre. Melanie was last seen on stage with Phoenix Festival Theatre, Harford Dance Theatre, and Towson University. Erin McArthur (Lulu) is honored to return to 1929-1930 Berlin in Cabaret, her debut performance at Phoenix Festival Theatre. Erin previously portrayed the role of Frenchie in a 2011 production of Cabaret, showcasing Bambi Johnson’s choreography. Some of her other previous credits include Rent (Mimi Marquez), Sweeney Todd (Mrs. Lovett), Tarzan (Featured Ape), Jekyll & Hyde (Red Rat Girl), Shrek (Gingy/Sugarplum Fairy), West Side Story (Consuela), Newsies (Katherine Plumber), You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown (Sally Brown), and 1776 (Martha Jefferson).
