WHAT STEPS HAVE WE TAKEN? Perimeter tick treatment and routine grounds maintenance for tick prevention. Tick repellent is available for guest use or purchase at the Front Desk. Tick education materials are available for guests who would like information on prevention and safety.
IF YOU DO GET A TICK BITE: Remove the tick promptly with finetipped tweezers, pulling straight up without twisting. Clean the bite area and your hands with rubbing alcohol, an iodine scrub, or soap and water. Monitor for any rash, fever, or flulike symptoms and contact a healthcare provider like the Martha's Vineyard Hospital if they develop.
