Academic Project 2019 (UCL_March Thesis Design )

Responsibility: Concept to detailed design development, Visulisation, Programming

Software: Rhino/ Unity 3D/ C# programming/ Vray/ Adobe Suite

Inspired by Blockchian technology, the project built upon “Codovidual Theory” within Machine Learning framework, responding to second digital. Each architectural element as intelliegent computing machine has open program and self-contained structure to bring diverse co-individual spatial use in architecture. Following the certain physical connections as rule set for machine learning system, the elements autonomously configure the large-scale urban form related to designed spatial connectivity.

Red Bank

Professional Project 2023 ( Hawkins Brown )

Responsibility: Stage 3- 4 design development, Visulisation, Planning Application

Software: Revit/ Rhino/ Lumion/ Photoshop/ Illustrator

A significant residential-led development connecting the north to the centre of Manchester. Collaborating with Far East Consortium (FEC), we propose a regeneration of Red Bank neighbourhood to create a sustainable residential-led neighbourhood which reinvigorates the green spaces along the River Irk Valley.

We proposed an uniformity of double skin facade on whole building across refurbished existing part to front facing new extension. The transformation provides MMU an urban permeability as a connection from the existing park to the proposed roof garden, encouraging outdoor learning space.

The Spine, Royal College of Physicians

Professional Project ( AHR Manchester )

Responsibility: Stage 3-4 design development, Visulisation

Software: Revit/ Rhino/ Grasshopper/ Lumion/ Photoshop

The Spine, RCP is taking its name from a striking staircase on its north elevation that resembles human vertebrae. The Spine has been designed according to the scientific and medical research principles established in the international WELL Standard to achieve WELL Platinum. It is on track to be one of the healthiest workplaces for mental health and physical wellbeing in the world. The WELL Platinum award would confirm The Spine’s status as a world-leading example of biophilic, sustainable design and engineering that supports mental and physical wellbeing for people.

Cloud - Crematorium

Academic Project 2017 Competition (Individual)

Responsibility: Planning Application, Stage 2-3 design development, Visulisation

Software: Rhino/ Vray/ Lumion/ Photoshop

The proposed eco-crematorium uses the technology of promession and artifical cloud as the eco-friendly ways for a sustainable death. After the process of crystallizing body, particles will be collected and transform into cloud; eventually turning into rain back to nature. The building is composed of three loops in clockwise and counterclockwise direction crossing through all levels seperating the beginning and ending of whole funeral. Following the loop along with designed sequential space, people experience the cloud changing formation as a metophor of life vicissitude.

Publication: Urban Regenration

Barch. Academic Project in 2017

Responsibility: Concept Design, Rendering, Representational Drawing Software: Rhino/ Autocad/ Vray

The book "Regeneration" is not only a record of the renovation of abandoned infrastructure around the world but the reinterpretation of the relationship between the infrastructure and urban context. It aims to research on the evaluation of function and space in urbanism process by understanding the revived urban infrastructure. As an architectural graphic designer in this publication, my responsibility is setting up the key visulisation for the publication and 3D modeling, producing the representational drawings for the collected case studies.
