(Stamps School of Art & Design, 2021) and have worked on creative directions for artists such as Kylie and Sam Smith. Some of Studio Moross’s previous clients include Spotify, MTV, Nike, the BFI and Warner.

At the beginning of this course, I wanted to work in the lm industry. However, since researching Aries Moross and Studio Moross, I’ve thought more about what I actually want and I’ve re ected on my current career as assistant accountant. I’ve noticed that I lose interest as soon as I feel like I’m not learning or being challenged in my role. When I came to this realisation, the concept behind studio Moross made more sense. e projects they take on are bene cial to the studio as they are challenged creatively but they are also able to meet the needs of their clients because their skillset is so extensive. is made me realise that I want to be able to build my skill set so that I can work on a wide variety of projects that challenge me when meeting the needs of my clients.

As a part of the LGBTQ+ community, visibility is important to Moross. However, they have rejected campaigns which approached the subject in ways they didn’t agree with. ey want visibility but they “don’t want to be tokenised, fetishised or positioned by someone else” (MOO Blog, 2021) or take part in the rainbow capitalist movement. is is one of the many things I admire about Aries Moross, the ability to stand their ground and stand up for what they believe in and their community.

Studio Moross believes in supporting its local community, Stockwell, South London, where the studio is based. Over the years, they have supported their local community by o ering work experience to the local schools as well as pro bono design services to organisations based in South London, such as e Advocacy Academy and Art 4 Space (Stamps School of Art & Design, 2021).

Another reason I admire Aries Moross as a design professional is because of things mentioned in an interview with Eye Magazine. Moross mentioned that sometimes it is better to hire those that are better at lettering than them. is shows that they are a great leader and they think about the needs of their client being met. is wasn’t the only thing that struck a chord with me; before the interview, Moross has attended a mental health First Aid course which shows that they care about their team and the wellbeing of that team.

“Copyright is a form of intellectual property that allows individuals such as artists, composers and writers to own the fruits of their creativity. It entitles the copyright owner to royalties and a say in how a work is used when it is reproduced by other people.”

“Reproduction includes copying, printing or including it in a lm or TV programme. It also extends to posting copies of the work on the internet, and making a copy in three dimensions of a two-dimensional work, such as the construction of a building according to an architect’s plans.” (Design & Artists Copyright Society, 2019)

We’ll be looking speci cally at UK copyright laws as the copyright protection given to artists will vary based on the country and their national legislations. e current UK copyright law is e Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988. is gives “creators of literary, dramatic, musical and artistic works the right to control the ways in which their material may be used. e rights cover: Broadcast
