01 Urban Oasis The site is located in the Sydney CBD, surrounded by university campuses, close to the busy tunnel exit which is very noisy with people passing. The purpose of this project is to create a student apartment based on the concept of "Secret Garden", which aims to provide students with an environment away from the city, allowing them to release stress, "escape" the current busyness and the pressure of life and academics through a living environment which is completely different from the city center, offering college students a paradise away from urban life.

The shape of the building is adapted to the boundary of the site, and a clear division of the internal and external environment becomes the main goal. The pink facade of the original tower building contrasts with the surrounding high-rises with its vivid colors and rough texture, which is very attractive. Our design concept for the facade comes from 51N4E's Room in the city: "Vivid and exquisite things happen in the unimpressive and old facade".

In addition, the ground floor of the apartment has gardens and public facilities for students' recreation. The use of public

balconies provides more opportunities for students to socialize. The logic of the room arrangement is based on privacy considerations, these spaces are located in the innermost, offering the students a quiet space that is entirely their own. The living room is connected to the balcony, when the sliding door is opened, people get more natural light and interaction space. On a hot day, the balcony would be an ideal area to be shaded and have cool winds. We want to highlight the continuity between the unit and the external balcony space, and the translucent paper door allows a better connection between the interior and exterior spaces of the room.

With the increasingly fierce social competition, the city center has gradually become an arena, and everyone hopes to find their own shelter in this huge city. The urban oasis is exactly where college students belong in urban life. They are no longer trapped by high-rise buildings, and they will no longer feel nervous and depressed. The pressure of studies and life does not belong here; it provides them a place in the bustle of the city. The urban oasis will continue to take students to hide in an inconspicuous corner of the city.

02 HSG Data Center The data center in people's impression is often a dark, cold back room, which seems to be far away from our lives. Bella Vista, a rapidly developing industrial area, has more and more apartments around it, but the lack of dense distribution of infrastructure greatly reduces the activity of the community.

Residents need a public space where they can gather and interact. With the arrival of the HSG data center, the community's infrastructure problems will be improved, and people's attitudes towards data center will gradually change.

First of all, we set up four L-shaped concrete block buildings on the site as "containers" for housing a large number of data machines. In order to preserve the original sloping terrain, the buildings are partially sinking underground. At the same time, an underground area is also established for functional space, while the above-ground floors are Used to store data machines. The office building is located next to the four block buildings and stands on the site at a different angle for remote management.

However, although these conditions meet the basic functional needs of the data center, such an architectural form would cause people to feel intimidated and alienated. Therefore, "softening" these buildings has also become the main goal of

this project. We used a lot of timber on the facade of the building and overlapped them to make the overall façade look more layered. The smell of the wood and its visual effect interlaced with the concrete inside make the overall atmosphere more interesting. Functionally, these weathered woods are also better able to help combat future climate change.

In addition, in order to better integrate the data center into the site, we introduced a variety of native Australian plants into the site and formed a garden in the central area for residents to move freely. These public spaces and the data center are two adjacent but completely independent entities. When people move around the garden, it will not affect the regular operation of the data center. Meanwhile, the distance between people and the building is gradually shortening through daily life. While enjoying the garden view and social activities, they are also interacting with the data center beside them.

The HSG data center is no longer just for capitalists to create wealth, it has entered the lives of Bella Vista in a friendly way.

Its appearance awakens the lifeless atmosphere of the community, providing residents a better public space, the data center is no longer a distant individual, it will be active in people's daily life, the soft architectural appearance and perfectly combined with local landscape, this new style of data center will gradually change people's long-standing view of data center architecture while bringing convenience to people's lives.

03 Power Station of Penrith This project will build a geothermal power station in an existing park in Penrith, western Sydney. Our first consideration is that the power plant will arouse the resentment of the local people, because for them these "unknown" machines will take away their original parks, and these industrial equipment may make them uncomfortable. Therefore, this project will first consider the connection between people's emotions and the site, redefine the relationship between people and public space, and provide new public space and facilities for the existing site. Let people gradually understand geothermal energy, a safe and green energy source, while enjoying the public space, so as to bring people closer to the building.

The industrial space and the public space will not interfere with each other but at the same time maintain the spatial continuity.

The building complex is divided into two floors above and underground in the overall planning. In order to keep these boring machines out of the public vision, they are mainly stored in the underground floor, and the upper floor is mainly used to build museums, libraries, and various welfare facilities for residents. And we have also designed specific routes on the ground floor, which can guide people to follow these routes from the museum to the underground machine area—subtly connecting the above-ground and underground spaces, allowing people to observe and understand the workflow of geothermal when walking through.

Penrith Power Station shows that the arrival of industrial buildings is not an invasion of the site, it will provide more welfare facilities for people while occupying the original site.

These "boring" machine are carefully guarded underground and buildings while operating for human society. The new public space not only provides better recreational conditions, but also indirectly leads people to approach these hidden geothermal machines. People are often disgusted with these industrial facilities, and it is also the goal of this project to bring these green energy technologies into people's lives through the guidance of buildings. Architecture can become a medium, awakening the communication between people and the site, and also launching a dialogue between human and social industry.

04 The Artopia In the future society, with the disintegration of the work age, people usher in a new post-work age, where work is no longer the center of our belief, and our lives have been completely divorced from the work society. When work is no longer a necessity for survival and a method for people to achieve value, we must make dramatic changes to our concept of life.

Therefore, art can successfully reconcile this challenge, art consciously functionalizing instinctual impulses, thereby expressing the rules of reason. Art can create a new social order for the post-work era. The Artopia takes art as a kind of social cohesion at its core, providing people in the post-work era with a new idea to explore a work-free society.

Artopia proposes an arts incubator within a post-work society centered on The Rocks of Sydney, with an archipelago strategy. The post-work society will be a utopia for people enslaved by capitalist society. The monument built on the ruins of capitalism is a celebration and a new strategy to achieve architectural transformation.

The spatial strategy is considered from the perspective of perception science. Artopia aims to activate human artistic cells through sensory stimulation and tries to stimulate the enjoyment of the whole body through the senses. Sensory stimulation will be experienced on multiple scales, starting with the body, allowing art to penetrate the body's senses, such as sight, hearing, touch, smell, etc. In addition, the raw

In the post-work era, Artopia will become a daily place for residents of The Rocks. These programs will become daily life for people who will explore new ways of living. These sensory stimulation programs are constructed as inviting spaces. In Artopia, the role of architecture changes completely. It will become a part of the person and connect with their emotions.
