The countdown to our Inaugural Snack Town Street Fair has officially begun! We can’t wait to bring this transformed event to life. As we say goodbye to one tradition, we welcome in another one with fresh ideas.

Made possible by the Hanover Area Chamber of Commerce and Utz Quality Foods, this event has transitioned from a celebration of Hanover’s Pennsylvania Dutch heritage to a day-long street fair filled with craft vendors, delicious street foods, the chance to meet with local businesses, and exciting entertainment. Making this year extra special, our community celebrates the 100-year anniversary of Utz. The Utz team has plenty of surprises planned during the Snack Town Street Fair to celebrate 100 years with Street Fair attendees! The 2021 event will be presented by Member’s 1st Federal Credit Union.

The Reagan Years, an 80s tribute band, will be taking the stage at the event for two sets.

Catch them on stage from 11am-12pm or 1:30-2:30pm.

Join us on Food Truck Way to enjoy delicious food and snacks from our food vendors, or head over to Shopping Way to see what our craft vendors have to offer this year. You can also stop by Nonprofit Row and meet with local nonprofits. Take the kids over to the Kid’s Carnival to enjoy a variety of activities.

Adult beverages will be poured in Brewer’s Alley (Bank Lane). This event will have something for everyone!

Snack Town Brewfest - October 30th

The Hanover Area Chamber of Commerce is pleased to present the 4th Annual Snack Town Brewfest, sponsored by Snyder’s of Hanover and Utz Quality Foods.

Celebrate Hanover’s rich snack food heritage by pairing tasty treats with local craft beer and wine on Saturday, October 30, 2021 in the Snack Food Capital! Over 30 breweries and wineries will fill Good Field from 1-5 p.m., along with food trucks, music and entertainment, for a day of sips, tastes and fun. The Amish Outlaws are back again for 2021!

Volunteers Needed for Events

The Hanover Chamber is seeking volunteers for the Snack Town Street Fair on September 18 and the Snack Town Brewfest on October 30. Volunteer shifts are available at various times for a wide assortment of tasks, like setup, admission, cleanup and more.

Groups are welcome and encouraged as a great way to promote your business or organization! All volunteers (with organization names) will appear in our newsletter following the events.

BARLEY SNYDER HIRES THREE NEW PROFESSIONALS

Lancaster, Pa. – As Barley Snyder’s client base and workload continues to increase, the firm has added additional attorneys and staff to its growing roster of professionals.

Ambria Armstrong joined the firm on Aug. 2 as part of the firm’s Business Practice Group. She is an experienced mergers and acquisitions attorney and is a graduate of William & Mary Law School.

Ambria is also a former summer associate at Barley Snyder.

“My early time at Barley Snyder taught me how professional attorneys go above and beyond to do the best thing for their client, and that experience helped me become the attorney I aspire to be every day,” Armstrong said. “I’m very happy to return to Barley as an attorney.”

Josh Strickland is a paralegal with nearly five years of legal experience after he graduated from Franklin & Marshall College.

He joined the firm July 19, and is working in the firm’s Immigration Practice Group.

Cheryl A. Myers is a paralegal with nearly two decades of legal experience that she will use in the Barley Snyder Litigation Practice Group and the Health Care Industry Group.

Cheryl started at the firm on July 26.

“These three new professionals epitomize the types of people we are looking to add at the firm,” Barley Snyder managing partner Jeff Lobach said. “They bring with them a mix of experience and also youthful exuberance with a willingness to learn and grow their craft.”

Lobach added the firm’s immediate growth isn’t complete, as it plans to announce three more attorney hires in the fall. .

(York, PA) As many U.S. manufacturers struggle to find the highly skilled workers they need, The Manufacturers’ Association is renewing its focus on professional training and apprenticeships. As the 115th anniversary approached, the Board and organizational leadership identified an opportunity to update its logo, visual identity, and website to reflect this renewed commitment and highlight the image of modern manufacturing.

In addition to the rebrand and new Center of Excellence, other recent initiatives include launching Pennsylvania’s first four-year Robotics Apprenticeship Program and securing the recent “Schools-toWork” state grant initiative, which will create learning opportunities in advanced manufacturing for high school students.

Downtown Glows

Downtown Glows is back on September 25, 7-10pm. This event is an adult oriented scavenger hunt based on its difficulty. The scavenger hunt will be at night with glow sticks marking each clue. At each clue you will find a riddle. The answers to the riddles will then help decode the answer to the final clue! This event is designed to educate about Main Street Hanover, Hanover’s history, and highlight the walk-ability and safe night-time environment of downtown Hanover. You do not have to be an expert on Hanover to be a part of this event!

The fastest team or person to finish in the best time will win a downtown swag bag and of course every attendee will be decked out in glow sticks!

Spooky Spirits

Sip and be spooky in downtown Hanover. Stroll downtown at night and sample the area's best beer and wine on Friday, October 1, from 6-9pm. This Halloween themed Sip & Stroll includes some of the best fall beverages and costume contest.

Fall Art in the Park Join us for a day of Art in the Park on October 16 from 11 am- 4 pm. Wirt Park will be filled with art vendors, live music, and food trucks!
