Chamber Plans Sock Hop to Benefit Main Street Dust off your letterman’s jacket, spruce up your poodle skirt, shine up your saddle shoes, and twist the night away with the Hanover Chamber and Main Street Hanover at the Hanover Sock Hop on Sat., April 9! Join the cool cats and travel back in time for a taste of nostalgia in downtown Hanover. Take a spot on the dance floor and hand jive your way to winning the 50’s-style dance off. Show off your knowledge of the beats and take first place in the ‘name that tune’ contest. Fancy a bite? Make a pit-stop at the ‘soda fountain’ for some authentic 50’s grub. Cruisin’ into town in your T-Bird? Lay on the gas and follow the tunes to 22 Carlisle St. The bash starts at 6 p.m. and we’ll be having a blast til’ 11.
The Sock Hop is presented by Doceo Office Solutions, and proceeds from the event will benefit the programs of Main Street Hanover. The MSH initiative brings together diverse community interests and resources to promote the economic vitality, architectural heritage and cultural vibrancy of the downtown business district for the benefit of the greater Hanover area.
