Change is near and we as readers, designers, students, and lovers of fashion have to jump without worry. From sustainability to genderless fashion and so much more the world is adapting and changing with fashion following suit. The industry has to learn to create new outlooks and ethics as the customer starts to pay more attention. Colors will be effected because of many changing processes like using less dye for cleaner water resulting in the soft pastels and earth tones. Symbolic colors are also coming to contribute to a lot of the trends this season. So readers, designers, students, and lover of fashion we need to jump on the bandwagon and ride along while the Time Changes!

Neutral Mindset Neutral Mindset is a sophisticated palette of mid-tones and neutrals with complementary pops of color. These colors are youthful for that day to night look, and are a big focus for casual street wear. As the world becomes more aware of a genderless driven lifestyle the fashion industry will see that colors will become more varied and adaptable on all fronts. They are very versatile colors for both males and females.

Bold Bright’s Bold Bright’s palette is a young, fun, and expressive combination of colors for the bold, and outgoing person. Unlike the normal A/W go to colors these will be for those dreary day pops of hope! Especially as the next generations are starting to enter the real world they will be bringing a lot of individuality to their wardrobes and these expressive colors will help them do just that.

This palette is the hope and joy of the future. As the world is going through a dark time having some confident bright colors will be beneficial.

Perished Pastels Like many of the palette’s Perished Pastels are concentrated around a very big issue facing the fashion industry today, sustainability. By A/W 19/20 the industry will see serious changes to retail and business strategies regarding sustainability. Because of this big push trends will transition from bright neon’s of the past to more neutral pastels because of how harmful it is to the environment to dye the fabrics with those intense colors. Brands will be more hands on with the construction of their garments to make sure they uphold the controversy of sustainability.

Enriched Darks Enriched Darks are embracing the romantic mystery of nature, combined with twisted, demented dark fantasy’s. The colors range from dark near-blacks to deep maroons and hunter greens. A big movement right now in China is streetwear and oversized casual clothing. These colors will be a big contributor in this movement from avangard fashion to everyday streetwear on the runways. These textiles will also factor into the movement of smart technological fabrics that are starting to really appear in the fashion industry.
