A LETTER FROM YOUR Hey There Monsters! Hope you are enjoying the 2nd month of summer while it lasts! I also hope that you guys enjoyed my first newsletter and I really appreciate the love and support that you have all given me. Even though summer is about to end, there are still many service events that you can attend to get those hours up before school starts. We are constantly achieving our goals everyday and we appreciate you and love your dedication to this organization. From the start of the term to now, we have achieved 1112 service hours and $350 of club funds so far. Which could not have been accomplished without your help! Enjoy the rest of your summer and have a great first few days of school! With Lots Of Love,

A LETTER FROM YOUR HEY MONSTERS! My name is Sammy Quan and I serve as your president for the 2019-2020 term! To start off I’d like to thank you all for such an amazing key club journey that you’ve all given me. It was all thanks to you guys that I continued to stay motivated in key club. Some of my goals for the upcoming term include: 3500+ service hours, a minimum of $150 per charity( At least 900 funds for service), and 4.5k+ funds raised for club. Some other personal goals I would like to achieve is to increase member attendance at division events and more interaction with Kiwanis. Though I may be president I still am a high school student like everyone else. So don’t hesitate to come up to me! For the upcoming term I hope that you’ll decide to work with me and stick with me throughout our adventure. I cannot wait to explore the new term with all of you! Roaring With Love And Service,

David Nam|Junior I love giving back to my community and participating in community service events is so much fun! But with this opportunity, I know I can do even more, and I’m really excited about that. More importantly, I’m fortunate to meet and have the chance to work with such passionate members!
Celine Nguyen|Sophomore I’m super excited to be apart of service committee because with this leadership role I will be able to create a stronger bond with other Key Club members. I’ll also be able to break out of my comfort zone and learn how to be more sociable with others, as well as learn professional skills such as emailing to organizations or companies or talking to them.
Trami Lin| Sophomore Key Club is one of those things people join because everyone joins then after a couple of meetings everyone drifts away and does their own thing. The funny thing is that I wanted to leave too, until I met the people. The people were cool I guess but it was their energy that caught my attention. And I wanted to be apart of that.

Kiwanis Pancake Breakfast: The Kiwanis pancake breakfast was a great start to my fourth of July! Though I had to wake up at 5 am, interacting with Kiwanians, my club, and PGKC made it worth it. Our tasks for the event was

to work at our merch booth and pass out plates to the people eating. We also got a great opportunity to sell our merch to make funds for our club. overall the event was really fun and I'm glad I attended !

McKinley Rose Ga The Mckinley Rose Garden was an event that was very fun yet tiring, I had a great time volunteering there. We were all taught and then assigned the task of deadheading roses. I learned that doing this task will actually help the roses grow into a much more beautiful form. At first, I was a bit confused on the
o
arden: directions but once I got the hang of it, I had a great time talking to my friends and volunteering! Although it was quite hot, it was still an enjoyable time at the rose garden because I loved being surrounded by the flowers and simply being able to help make it even more beautiful.

Great American Triathlon: Helping out at the Great American Triathlon was very fun and exhausting due to the heat. While I was there with the other volunteers we helped out in doing medal distribution, and taking timers off racers. I was able to do both tasks since I switched out with another volunteer half way through to do timer taking off. It was inspiring seeing many different age groups participating in the triathlon. For example,
we saw a participant win second place for the iron man (which means they did the whole triathlon alone) at age 15! However it was also wonderful seeing families and friends come together in teams to complete the triathlon, and still have a smile on there face. I hope I am able to volunteer at this event again in the future, and hope all of you reading this sign up for events in general!
