Assignment Objective: You are required to write down 9 elements, randomly choose 3 ones, and construct a model using the chosen ones. I got plasticine, University ID, and ruler. Instructor Feedback: Model looks a bit linear
Personal Reflection: I could have used the plasticine to create a more random addition on the ruler instead of a linear line.

Personal Reflection: I enjoyed making this model, and I got more familiar with abstract compositions

Personal Reflection: I could have upgraded the model by adding more to the composition, or adding an exterior object like a mirror to reflect it and make it more eye-catching

Assignment Objective: You are required to design and construct a moving doll, only using curvilinear volumes. Shots of your model have to be taken in motion.
Instructor feedback: You should have worked on the motion part more
Personal Reflection: I like how it resembles the main theme (Freddie Mercury Posture), and I liked the process of expressing it in a slightly abstract way

Assignment Objective: Using both curvilinear and rectilinear volumes, design and construct a post-modern vase
Instructor feedback: Neatness could be improved
Personal Reflection: I could have used a more volumetric object for the triangular part

Personal Reflection: Bigger volumes and more spaces between each part of the model could have made it better
FRAGMENTED SELFIE

Description: Using a black & white printed photograph(s) of yourself, you are required to deconstruct it then transform the fragmented pieces into a 3D composition. You are allowed to distort your photos, combine multiple shots or even use closeups. Evaluation criteria: • Aesthetic qualities of composition • Creativity of material use and selection • Quality of execution • Experimentation with photography Constraints and requirements: • Photograph(s) is to measure 30x30 cm. • Maximum height of 30cm. Do not simply extrude the photo to fulfill height requirements. Requirements must be fulfilled through the volumetric composition. • Units of composition must be volumetric; not planar. Minimum thickness of any element must be 2cm. • You have ultimate control over material selection, and finishing, selecting the most complimentary combinations. • All surfaces on the composition must be cladded with either the fragmented photo or an achromatic (black/ white/ grey) finish. • Baseboard of size 30x30cm. • Composition is to be photographed from at least its front, side and top, clearly documenting it in its context.

Personal Reflection: I liked the idea of using origami but I should have added more to the design to make it more creative

Personal Reflection: I focused on creating expressive designs rather than focusing on the aesthetics, I should have balanced more

Assignment Objective: Using a variety of elements, you are required to carefully design and execute a mobile sculpture that is both kinetic and equilibrium
Instructor feedback: Idea is very good but execution still needs work
Personal Reflection: I tried to create the illusion of a face turning around using wires and the mechanism and concepts of kinetic mobiles

Instructor feedback: A thicker, sturdier wire would have upgraded the model so much. The shadow effect enhanced it though.
Personal Reflection: I liked the effect of the shadow, but I wanted to use a thicker wire but bending it was so hard and resulted in sharp edges. I could have searched for better ways to shape sturdy wires though.

FINAL PROJECT

Inspiration 2
Assignment Objective: Pick an indoor or outdoor corner and construct a 3D artistic installation, exploring and expressing your individual creative vision
Instructor feedback: Show more sky and less of the building and remove unwanted objects as pipe and lamp for a cleaner setting
Personal Reflection: I picked an outdoor roof and my ideas was based on imitating a real-life scenery using models that I constructed myself.

Instructor feedback: Cloud models are so dense, birds would look better if arranged in a certain path rather than being randomly scattered
Personal Reflection: Clouds are not so realistic so improved them and made it look more fluffy in the following phase

Instructor feedback: Design, construction, and shadows are nice. Clouds should have been moved a little upwards though.
Personal Reflection: I enjoyed the process of making this model specially the part of adding dimension to make look more 3D and realistic. I achieved this by placing each part in a different depth and showing the shadows.
