Direct Outreach to Business Owners

SUMMARY Storefront for Community Design went door-to-door to businesses in Chamberbrook to connect with business owners and invite them to engage with the Community Survey. This effort was not very successful, underscoring the difficulty that Real Chances has experienced in bringing the corridor business owners together. This may be due in part to the nature of the businesses, where the business owners are not necessarily on site during the business day.
It will be critical to engage other business owners, but efforts also cannot wait for them. Continued engagement should be part of the long-term strategy, and an ongoing plan should be operationalized, ideally with the District Director leading.
