ASSIGNMENT DESCRIPTION: Using your graded pencils draw the following hatches and shades to create a grey scale. You can use a ruler to draw the rectangles. Keep the rectangle lines very thin and light.
FEEDBACK: The jump in shades where evident and paper needs to be thicker.
REFLECTION: I used graded pencils to create a grey scale through different hatches and shades. It was challenging to control the pressure and consistency, but it helped me understand tonal values and improve my shading technique.
