Architecture: 我叫張智涵,是個喜歡大自然的 人,平時在做設計外的閒暇時間 ,最喜歡做的事就是騎車到北海 岸放鬆、或和朋友一起去爬山、 兜風,對戶外活動也很熱衷,一 、二年級時也常在課業較不繁忙 的時候獨自跑到金山去衝浪。也 許是因為我自己是一個好奇心比 較重的人,才喜歡在戶外自由探 索的感覺,也嚮往自由的生活, 所以在進入淡江建築系前,高中 畢業後,幫自己空下了一年的 Gap Year 到加州的語言學校一 邊學英文一邊探索人生的可能性
。當初在學測時志願序只填了建 築系,不免還是會懷疑是不是一 個好的決定,去了國外後,認識 了各式各樣的朋友,有人18歲就 休學靠著做Youtube和賣球鞋賺 錢,有人靠著人脈能從在學校當 學生進而變成幫學校籌辦活動賺 錢....等,開啟了我的眼界,也更 堅信了我對建築這條路的想法。 ” Choose what you love, love what you choose ”



After Architecture: 進入建築系之後其實掙扎了好一 陣子,從0開始學習建築的設計方 法,老實說在大一、大二的時候 對自己的設計常常完全沒有概念 ,每每在評完圖後懷疑自己是不 是根本不懂建築,直到接觸到了 Rem Koolhaas 的西雅圖中央 圖書館這個案子,並了解了 Koolhaas 的設計方式之後才 意識到建築的可能,並了解到自 己以前的設計。前陣子剛好跟朋 友聊到方法論和結果論,我認為 我自己是比較喜歡方法論,像 BIG 、 OMA 那種透過大量資料 來形成設計的這種”理性”的設 計方式,但最近也在探索試著以 ”感性”的角度來做設計,想要 找到不同的可能。目前比較有興 趣的方向是和戶外有關的建築(大 三的前兩個案子都是以山做為發 想,大四則是海),及數位建築。

The site located at Shetou Park, it’s a park at the end of Shezidao. The park is been isolated by embankment . The space is separated by embankment,on one side, it’s living area, on the otherside, it’s nature with river. The paths are also isolate to eachother due to the embankment.

The curve I use to create the space is the path in the park, the bicycle path on the embankment, and the vehicle path.

‘Under the wave’

In this model I try to look under the wave to find a different angel, transfrom not just the from but the essence.
Prograss 2 : Build the hexagon in different hieghs to simulate the seafloor.
Prograss 3 : Use the diagram’s line to recreate the wave shape by same unit.

Prograss 4 : Make the wave unit move along the seafloor to recreate the affectoin of seafloor.

Progress 5 : Add the freefrom unit on it to recreate the ‘White water’ and the splash of wave.

Prograss 1 : Find the wave motion and the surfer’s track, make the motion track to surface from.


Concept Model
‘Tube Ride’
Ridding the tube shaped wave, some said that’s the best and magical moment in life.
Prograss 2 : Slice the surface to simulate the path of surfer and the wave, chose two material to make it looks difference.

Prograss 3 : Add the freefrom shape unit on it to simulate the ‘White water’.

Prograss 4 : Replace the freefrom shape unit to lasered acrylic to simulate the ‘White water’.
Progress 5 : Add support and make the path of sufer and wave can move individually.
Prograss 6 : This model tries to recreate the perfect moment of sufing by making this model moveable.

Concept Model

‘Crossing’
paddeling to ‘outside’ from ‘inside’ to get the perfect zone, and wait for waves.

Prograss 1 : Find the wave’s motion pattern, and construct the model from image diagram.
Prograss 2 : The wave’s mption was round shaped and rise along the sea floor, this model tries to recreate the movement.

Prograss 3 : The two things that affect the wave’s shape ‘The path of sufer’ and the ‘Sea floor’.
Prograss 4 : Add the wave model back, this model tries to recreat the wave’s motion.

Progress 5 : This model recreate the movement of wave, it can be place on the “Sea floor” or the “The path of surfer”, the two effection.



Prograss 6 : Rebuild the model make it easier to manufacture, the original free from shape was to hard to build.
