The long-standing links between neighbouring Hampton and LEH have continued to grow from strength-to-strength. We are now formalising our partnership, building on shared values, close proximity, and a joint commitment to putting our pupils at the heart of every decision. This will unlock exciting new opportunities for both communities.

INTRODUCTION
Hampton and LEH are formalising a long-standing partnership to create even more opportunities for our pupils. As two of the country’s leading single-sex schools, we’ve enjoyed an excellent relationship for decades. We are looking forward to seeing our links strengthen further, giving pupils increased opportunities to benefit from shared activities and experiences, and to enjoy the exceptional facilities across both sites. This is not a merger, nor a move towards co-educational provision. We are and will remain two schools, with our own sites, Heads, leadership teams, governing boards and distinctive identities. By working together when and where it matters most, we can enhance our pupils’ school experiences – equipping them with the confidence, skills and opportunities they need to thrive in a rapidly evolving world.

The Hampton-LEH partnership: • Builds on our excellent relationship • Implements a clearer structure • Introduces exciting new plans for the future • Provides more opportunities to collaborate and share best practice

WHY WE ARE DOING THIS
Positive pupil impact is our number one priority. This exciting new chapter in the Hampton-LEH partnership builds on a proven formula which we know works, offering the ‘best of both worlds’ to the girls and boys at our schools. Core academic teaching will remain singlesex, but our enhanced partnership will broaden opportunities in other areas – from pastoral care and co-curricular activities, to community links and joint social events. Our partnership will be judged by how our pupils experience it, not by what we say about it.

FROM THE HEADS
Our pupils enjoy the best of both worlds: exceptional single-sex education alongside the many opportunities made possible by the distinctive relationship between our two schools. We’re excited to strengthen our partnership, creating even more ways for boys and girls of all ages to forge lifelong friendships, gain new perspectives, and develop the confidence, character and skills to thrive wherever life takes them.”

TWO SCHOOLS, BROADENING HORIZONS
A future-ready Sixth Form experience. Sixth Form is perhaps the most exciting stage of a pupil’s school career – a time of greater independence, new opportunities and important choices about the future. At this pivotal stage, our partnership offers pupils a distinct advantage: all the wellestablished benefits of single-sex education with invaluable experience of collaborating with peers at their neighbouring school – building lasting friendships, learning from one another, and developing the confidence and collaborative skills to thrive at university, in the workplace, and beyond.

Joint Sixth Form ventures •
A representative voice: Sixth Formers from both schools will help shape a future-focused PSHE programme and represent the views of younger year groups.
•
Sixth Form perspective: Peer-led sessions bringing real-world insight and experience to PSHE discussions.
•
Broadening horizons: Joint careers lunches and discussion forums introducing a broad range of perspectives, professions and pathways.
•
Wider networks: Joint events will connect Hampton-LEH pupils with alumni from both schools, opening up a wider world of experience, advice and opportunity.
•
More chances to connect: Social events, shared activities and community initiatives that bring pupils together beyond the classroom.
You meet new people, hear new perspectives and learn from each other – it feels like you’re part of something bigger and better.”
We all bring something different, and when we come together there’s so much more to learn – and it’s a great way to make new friends too.”

Answers to your questions. What does the new partnership involve?
Will there be any changes to staffing?
As neighbouring schools, Hampton and LEH have a wellestablished relationship where pupils already benefit from meaningful opportunities through shared activities, facilities, and wider experiences. We’re now formalising this partnership, introducing a clearer structure and programme of activities so that our pupils can benefit from the ‘best of both worlds’ – academic and all-round excellence in a single-sex setting while also gaining access to additional co-curricular opportunities and academic enrichment.
None are planned. Hampton and LEH each have teams of excellent, dedicated and professional teaching and support staff and they will all remain in place. Where appropriate, expertise will be shared between the two schools as part of the partnership.
Are the schools merging? No. This is not a merger and the schools will not be combining into a single legal entity. Each school rightly cherishes its heritage, identity and distinctive strengths, and these will continue to be paramount.
Is this a move towards creating a co-ed school? No. Hampton and LEH share a commitment to providing the highest standards of academic and all-round education in single-sex settings. Neither school has any plans to move to a co-educational model. As part of the more formalised partnership, core academic teaching will remain single-sex with the partnership offering new opportunities in other areas – from pastoral and co-curricular, to community and social aspects.
Will there be any changes to the leadership or governance of the schools?
Will anything change in practice? Yes. We are introducing an enhanced programme of shared co-curricular experiences and new opportunities for all pupils from Year 7 upwards. As boys and girls progress through our schools, they’ll have more chances to take part in activities, clubs, performances, competitions, and leadership initiatives together. They will also benefit more from the impressive range of facilities at each school.
Will there be any changes to fees or arrangements for parents who have children at both schools? Each school will maintain its own policies around fees which will continue to be shared with parents in the usual way.
Is there further information on the partnership? We look forward to sharing more about this exciting development and our plans for the future as we move forward. Please email: info@hamptonschool.org.uk or office@lehs.org.uk and we shall be happy to answer any of your questions on an individual basis.
Hampton and LEH will remain separate schools, each with their own site, Head and senior leadership team, and board of governors.
