For generations, stories have connected people, honored identity, and illuminated what matters most. At Hamlin Robinson School, we see the power of story every day. Each student who walks through our doors arrives with a story still being written — one of resilience, growth, discovery, and possibility.
This strategic plan represents the next chapter in our shared story. Rooted in our commitment to structured literacy, academic excellence, and belonging, it reflects both confidence in who we are and excitement about who we are becoming. Over the next five years, we will strengthen our academic program, expand our impact locally and nationally, and deepen the long-term sustainability of our school.
For more than 40 years, Hamlin Robinson School has transformed the lives of students with dyslexia and other language-based learning differences by helping them discover who they are, how they learn best, and who they can become. As we look ahead, we remain committed to preparing students for a changing world through innovation, critical thinking, self-advocacy, and meaningful connection.
We also recognize the importance of sharing our impact story more intentionally. We need to listen carefully, honor lived experiences, and elevate the voices of students, families, alumni, and educators who reflect the heart of our mission. Storytelling is more than communication; it is how communities build understanding, strengthen belonging, and carry hope forward.
Most importantly, this plan reflects the collective vision of our community. Created by the Strategic Planning Steering Committee and affirmed by the Board of Trustees, this five-year plan is based on a simple but powerful belief: students with dyslexia are capable of extraordinary achievement when they are known, supported, and empowered to see their strengths.
I am deeply grateful for the people who make Hamlin Robinson School such a remarkable place of learning and belonging. The future of our school is bright, and I am honored to move forward together in service of our students and mission.
