Star Protection Computer Controls™ is communication technology between the tool and battery that exchanges data in real-time to protect against overload, over-discharge and overheating.
The charger communicates with the battery’s chip to optimise battery life, and to control the current, voltage, and temperature. The charger’s built-in fan circulates air into the battery to cool it down for faster charging.

LXT Twin 18V (36V) is a great solution if you’re already heavily invested in the LXT platform and occasionally need more power. It brings corded-level performance while still maintaining full compatibility with the broader LXT ecosystem. The output power is comparable to XGT 40V Max, however they are typically heavier and take longer to charge because they require two batteries instead of one.
