Words fall short of describing this inaugural Mission Exposure experience. Our 8-person international team (6 U.S., 2 Mexico) ministered with (not to) and learned alongside our Monterrey, Mexico churches July 22–30, 2024.
We are excited to share some highlights from our first EMC MISSION EXPOSURE trip to Monterrey Mexico. Space does not permit full details, but we hope you can recognize that we saw God work on our behalf as we waited before Him.

We spent 7 days in Monterrey cleaning lots, painting, serving, teaching, and witnessing. Our purpose was not to do something no one else could do, but to work and minister together with our Mexican EMCers in the Name of Jesus!
We repeatedly heard from our Mexican pastors and youth, even through tears, how glad they were that we were there to visit them. They were deeply moved to have us there and they hosted us wonderfully. As is always the case, each member of the Mission Exposure team was also impacted.

Watching 16 and 17-year- old American teenagers share their testimony publicly multiple times having never done so before was amazing! We watched a person who has been on many mission trips re- engage after thinking that her traveling days were over.
We watched American and Mexican youth bond over sports and tacos! We watched God a[irm his missionary call on young hearts!
Our hearts were warmed, and our spirits filled watching all this and more! We are so thankful to God for making this trip possible. Thank you to everyone who has supported this MISSION EXPOSURE team by praying and/or giving!

The Walkers are full-time EMC missionaries serving exclusively in the EMC and are funded only by your generous support. They live near Athens, Georgia, but are your missionaries to ALL 5 GLOBAL CONFERENCES (Mexico, Myanmar, Asia Pacific, CFAN, and South Africa).
You might have heard that the Walkers are “fully funded for the first time in 14 years.” That DOES NOT MEAN they don’t need you to support them anymore. It DOES MEAN that the EMC Board of World Missions and Board of Finance consulted each other and found enough money to provide a full-time package for both Bill AND Lisa. There is only enough money in that fund to last until June 30, 2025, therefore they must raise an additional $50,000 of annual support to continue full-time beyond that date.
What can you do? Invite them to speak at your church or home group. Pray that God will provide the full need. Join their support team by giving directly or through your local church. Imagine if each EMC congregation in the USA supported the Walkers with an ongoing monthly gift of $150—they would remain fully funded, year after year.

WE HOPE YOU WILL JOIN THE TEAM! To give to the Walkers’ missionary work, scan this QR code with your phone or visit: https://engage.suran.com/evangelicalmethodist/s/give/gift/walker-support
Alternatively, you can make checks payable to Evangelical Methodist Church and designate your gift as “Walker Support.” Just mail your support check to:
