August 4, 2026 Missions Day at General Conference At our General Conference we especially celebrated our four Global Conferences – Mexico, Myanmar, Asia Pacific, and South Africa – on Thursday, July 23rd. There are so many wonderful things that took place during the day, it is difficult to know what to write. We heard reports from each of the Conferences, some being delivered in person, and some by video report. All of them are working faithfully to share the gospel in their local contexts, and to train the ministers for the work of shepherding and discipling. We spent time gathered around flags from areas around the globe where our people have served, are serving, and where our Global Conferences are headquartered. The evening worship service was hosted by our newly elected Conference Superintendent, Rev. Colin Conner. He eloquently shared some of our 80 years of history, highlighting the work of former missionaries who passionately and sacrificially followed the Lord’s call to serve in various places around the world. The evening offering was dedicated in its entirety to missions, and over $7,000 was given that night to further equip our friends and partners in their work. Before the night was over, someone handed me a note with a pledge to anonymously match the total offering given! … Over $14,000 sent directly into the harvest by our loving & faithful people. Praise be to the Lord our God!
