As I shared on July 1st, this month’s Tuesday Briefs will be companions to a weekly July Special Vision Edition of the Kerusso. Each Tuesday, I will share a graphic listing the things we have been doing in one of our five current denominational priorities. Then, each Wednesday, you’ll receive another installment of the July Kerusso, which explores that information in greater detail.
This last week of the series, the focus is on our efforts in Equipping Leaders.
One thing the Scripture is crystal clear about is that Godly leaders are to invest in others, equipping and discipling them for kingdom service. To the Ephesian church, the Apostle Paul writes that the very reason God has given leaders is to “… equip the saints for the work of the ministry …” (Ephesians 4:12).
Many things we do at the regional, district, or national level are targeted toward accomplishing this value of equipping others to lead. It is an ongoing process as leadership is passed on to younger generations of church leaders. Tomorrow’s Kerusso will share important information about these very efforts.
