As I shared on July 1st, this month’s Tuesday Briefs will be companions to a weekly July Special Vision Edition of the Kerusso. Each Tuesday, I will share a graphic listing things we have been doing in one of our five current denominational priorities. Then, each Wednesday, you’ll receive another installment of the July Kerusso, which explores that information in greater detail.
This week, the focus is on our efforts in Connecting People.
Connection is like a multi-faceted diamond - there are different ways of looking at it, and in a sense, accomplishing it. Connection or relationship is fundamental to what it means to be a person created in the image of Almighty God. The Holy Trinity - Father, Son, and Spirit - are interconnected in an inseparable bond of fellowship, and if we are to be partakers of the divine nature (as the Apostle Peter says we can be), a harmonious relationship with brothers and sisters in Christ is non-negotiable.
Here are some of the ways we’ve been attempting to foster connection, and tomorrow’s Kerusso will not only go into some detail about them, but it will reveal some things we are contemplating for our future.
