As I shared on July 1st, this month’s Tuesday Briefs will be companions to a weekly July Special Vision Edition of the Kerusso. Each Tuesday, I will share a graphic listing things we have been doing in one of our five current denominational priorities. Then, each Wednesday, you’ll receive another installment of the July Kerusso, which explores that information in greater detail.
This week, the focus is on our efforts in Aspiring to Holiness.
It does the cause of Christ a great disservice when we say that we value holiness of heart and life, and yet do little to demonstrate it. We must do more than ADMIRE holiness - - we must ASPIRE TO Holiness!! We must value Christlikeness enough that we let the Holy Spirit convict us when we step out of line and allow Him to identify those areas in us that absolutely must change.
Tomorrow’s installment of the 5-part July Kerusso will share more about this important value. This is a more difficult value to measure than our number of churches or the amount of church plant dollars being spent, but it is of paramount importance. Without it, nothing else accomplished matters much.
