In the past, we’ve stretched out our regional gatherings over four months from late winter to the start of summer. This year will be a departure from that pattern - - all four meetings will take place within a five-week period.

Our featured speaker in all four locations will be Dr. Matt Friedeman. Dr. Matt has been a professor at Wesley Biblical Seminary since 1987 where he currently chairs the Evangelism and Discipleship Department. He has authored several books and has written a regular newspaper column, in addition to being a talk-show host on American Family Radio. We are excited and looking forward to hearing from Dr. Friedeman!
And please remember … Journey meetings are NOT ONLY for pastors! We also want everyone who attends your local church and is interested to find out more about the EMC, and about how they can grow personally and build the body of Christ at home and around the world.
Journey Missions Offering
I know that I’m writing repeatedly about this year’s Journey Missions Offering. That is intentional, and it is because we are hoping to restore a former tradition by raising tens of thousands of dollars to flow into EMC Missions from our Journey Meetings. The goal I’ve offered is for every person attending to bring a sacrificial offering of somewhere in the neighborhood of $20-$40, and for every EMC Church to bring a Missions Offering of at least $500. We actually hope that many churches will be bringing thousands of dollars.
Pray now, and plan now … Bring those offerings! 100% of what we give will be invested directly into the ministry of our Global Conferences.
