It is always a special joy and privilege for us to attend the Annual Conference Meeting of the Mexican Evangelistic Mission (MEM). It is almost always held in the month of July, and the location moves to different regions of the Conference where local churches are located.
I have attended meetings in Torréon, Hildago de Parral, and Monterrey. This year’s meetings were held on July 29-31 in Monterrey at the Fastos Hotel.
But before the Conference commenced, Judy and I joined with the Missions Exposure team, worshipping at one of our MEM local churches, “Templo Ebenezer.” The worship time was precious … I was given the honor of preaching, with Rev. Bill Walker translating, so I’m sure the sermon was better than I shared �. The local church family prepared a delicious noon meal for us.
The MEM is currently led by Global Superintendent, Rev. Isaias Flores. He is a capable leader, and servant-hearted pastor to his pastors.
The Mexican Global Conference faces challenges, just like we do, of finding the resources necessary to do all the ministry that God has placed on their hearts. They have churches that need pastors, and people across Mexico that need the Lord desperately.
Whenever we go to be with our partners there, the one thing we cannot seem to get enough of are the people. They are fine examples of Christ-like servants, and they bring us joy and encouragement. Please pray for all our hermanos y hermanas (brothers and sisters) who give and go and preach and pray and love and serve.
