Last week, I mentioned that we have established dates and locations for our annual Journey meetings for next year. We are so appreciative of our host churches that work so hard to make the necessary preparations for us to gather in their sacred spaces. We could meet in hotel banquet halls or rented venues, but we believe it is much better to gather in spaces that are dedicated to the sharing of the love and gospel of Jesus Christ.
The four local churches that have agreed to serve as host churches for 2025 are:
Riverside EMC - Salem, Virginia
Crossroads EMC - Marshfield, Missouri
Estrella EMC - Eloy, Arizona
Crossroads Community - Nampa, Idaho
We will be holding the four meetings nearly back-to-back, covering them all in just 5 weeks. This is a change from our recent pattern of spreading them out across four months.
MARCH & APRIL 2025
This will be the last series of Journey meetings before 2026 comes around, when we will all plan to gather in Indianapolis in July for our 34th General Conference. The dates and venue for that gathering are set as well. We will convene on Tuesday morning, July 21st and adjourn on Friday afternoon, July 24th, 2026. The meeting location with be the Indianapolis First Church of the Nazarene, located on the East side of Indianapolis.
Journey meetings are so important for fellowship, inspiration, information, and connection. If you have not attended a Journey meeting in the last year or two, and you are a credential holder, it is imperative that you plan your calendar around one of these meetings in 2025. We try to be gracious in understanding the need for occasional absences, but as credentialed ministers, you are required to attend. And we are working hard to make these meetings more vital for our non-credentialed church leaders as well. Please put Journey 2025 on your calendar NOW, and we’ll see you there!
