This week’s Tuesday Brief will be … well … somewhat brief!

I’m so thankful for, and appreciative of our three Conference Superintendents! Revs. Brouillette, Mackey, and Withrow are Christ-following, servant-hearted leaders who deserve our utmost respect and need our faithful prayers. The fall and winter are seasons in which they travel the country extensively, meeting with EMC congregations in their Annual Church Conference meetings.

They have already been at churches in Illinois, Indiana, Louisiana, California, Kentucky, and Georgia. Over the next several weeks up until Thanksgiving, they will travel to Oregon, Indiana, North Carolina, New York, Pennsylvania, Washington, Maryland, Texas, Idaho, Missouri, California, West Virginia, and Kentucky. I could list other states they will frequent between Thanksgiving and Christmas, and then on beyond New Year’s Day for about another month or two, but I think you get the picture. They are some busy Superintendents.

Please join me in extra prayer for them as they move about. They will be in dozens of airports, and with many, many folks over the next few months. Pray for their safety and health. Pray for their energy and protection. Pray for their stamina, and for their joy level to be high. It isn’t the easiest thing to bounce around from time zone to time zone, state to state, and city to city in such a tight parcel of time.

I was in their shoes for 6 years, and while it was such a blessing to see all of our wonderful people across the EMC week in and week out, it can be physically and emotionally draining too. When you see them, give ‘em a wave and a hug for me. - - I won’t get to see them much, because they will be with all of you. Thanks for stepping up your prayers for these men. They appreciate it and need it.
