THE EMC’S ANNUAL NOVEMBER MISSIONS OFFERING We set aside this time of year to THANK GOD for His many blessings and His Great Salvation! The Board of World Missions invites you to join us in blessing our five Global Conferences: Mexico, Myanmar, Asia Pacific, South Africa, and GRIAC. The goal is to send each of them $5,000 to further their ministries – A total of $25,000. We can do this!! We are encouraging each global conference to use their portion of this November offering to start or strengthen their own ‘Business as Mission’ programs. These are creative and profitable ways to advance and sustain local ministries.

Three common ‘Business as Mission’ models: • • •
Funding ministry: Churches or missionaries operate businesses that generate financial support for ministry. Operating as ministry: The business itself becomes a self-supporting ministry for lasting societal transformation, such as the preschool in Lusikisiki, South Africa. Opening doors: Business provides access to communities or regions otherwise closed to the Gospel.

From the Desk of the General Secretary/Treasurer Brian Hammond As we enter the seasons of Thanksgiving and Christmas, I am especially grateful for each of our churches and the many ways you faithfully reflect Christ's love in your communi>es. Thanksgiving invites us to count our blessings and remember God's faithfulness, while Christmas draws our hearts to the miracle of the Incarna>on, when God came near to us in Jesus Christ. Amid the celebra>ons, responsibili>es, and challenges of this season, may we pause to worship, to give thanks, and to rejoice in the hope we have through Emmanuel, God with us. Thank you for your ministry, your generosity, and your witness to the Gospel. My prayer is that you and your church family will be strengthened by God's presence, filled with His peace, and renewed in His joy as we celebrate Christ's birth and look forward to the opportuni>es of a new year. May the Lord richly bless you during this Thanksgiving and Christmas season and throughout the year ahead.
A Few End-of-Year Reminders: Office Holiday Closing. Please note that the EMC Headquarters office is closed for Thanksgiving, November 26 -27, 2026, and will reopen on November 30. We will close for Christmas and New Year’s on Thursday, December 24, 2026, and reopen on Monday, January 4, 2027—our office staff will also be off during those days. End-Of-Year Contributions. We will hold our books open for the first week of January 2027 so we may issue a 2026 receipt for contribution checks written, dated, and postmarked by December 31, 2026. An online gift becomes tax-deductible on the date it is made. Our online program issues a receipt at the time of the gift. Online Giving. Still need to open an EMC Online Giving account?
