IN THE KNOW with Bill and Lisa Walker Your EMC Missions update—JUNE 2026 Our 80th General Conference will allow you to interact with delegates from 3 of our 4 Global Conferences: Mexico, Asia Pacific, and South Africa. (Sadly, our Myanmar delegates are unable to attend because of the ongoing civil war.) You won’t just be hearing reports; look for the display tables representing each Global Conference and come for a chat in our “International Corner!” Participate in multilingual and multicultural worship and Scripture reading! Bishop Lunguisa Nyangane and Rev. Jobe Tukwayo will tell you about the growing circuits in South Africa. Brother Jobe might even tell you about some of his favorite “beasts” in South Africa, including business-as-mission programs using livestock! Rev. JeC Gadiano will serve as the Asia Pacific Conference's oSicial designee for General Superintendent Rev. Eric Ramirez. He is a good leader and preacher, and serves on the Conference finance team. He shepherds a vibrant and growing church with many young leaders. Rev. Isaias Flores and his wife, Mrs. Elva Mares, will tell you of new church plants and church revitalization projects in Mexico, Bible Institute students, evangelistic trips, missionary outreach from local churches, and much more. Rev. Lian Sailova will share virtually with us about many Buddhists turning to Jesus in the mission fields of Myanmar, as well as testimony of the hardships related to the war. God’s faithfulness to them and their consistent, eSective service of the Gospel are both humbling and inspiring! You will also meet several members of the Groupe International des Amis de Christ (GRIAC). They are pursuing formal aSiliation with the EMC. Two of their pastors are already EMC elders. They and others will be present at the General Conference!
