Nurture ~ Thrive ~ Succeed
I am incredibly proud to share with you the highlights of our recent Independent Schools Inspectorate inspection, which took place in May 2026. At Halstead St Andrew’s (HSA), we have always believed that children achieve their very best when they are happy, known, valued and inspired. We are ambitious for every pupil and equally passionate that education should be about far more than academic achievement alone. We want our pupils to develop confidence, curiosity and kindness to enable them to discover their individual strengths and talents, and, most importantly, to enjoy coming to school each day. It was therefore wonderful to see the inspectors recognise so much of what makes HSA such a special place. All inspection standards were met, with the report celebrating our nurturing culture, high expectations, strong pastoral care, broad and ambitious curriculum and the warm, positive relationships that exist throughout our school community. The inspectors saw pupils who are encouraged to think independently, communicate with confidence and embrace the enormous range of opportunities available to them. They recognised a community in which children feel that they belong and where our values of Endeavour, Positivity, Creativity, Respect and Kindness are not simply words, but are lived every day. Most pleasingly, the report reflects our belief that excellent education and outstanding pastoral care should go hand in hand. We know our pupils as individuals. We encourage them to aim high, support them when they find things difficult and celebrate the many different ways in which they can be successful. This booklet contains just some of the inspectors’ observations from their time with us. I hope, as you read them, you gain a sense of the happy, ambitious and caring school community of which we are so proud. Of course, no report or booklet can truly capture the energy, warmth and spirit of a school. Come and see how we nurture our pupils to thrive and succeed for yourself by booking onto a personal tour at www.hsaschool.co.uk/tours. We look forward to welcoming you and your family soon.
