Recent happenings at Villa Dalmacia

The past few weeks at Villa Dalmacia have been busy and full of activity One of the highlights was a visit from the Accordion Man, whose music had everyone singing along and tapping their feet.

We’ve also celebrated some very special birthdays Milestones for staff members Nenada and Roy were celebrated, along with our attendees Nunziata, who turned 90, Mrs Boni, who celebrated her 88th, and Tonka, who reached an incredible 99 years

Outings have been a hit, including trips to The Vale Bar & Brasserie and a delicious meal at

North Lake BBQ Chinese restaurant – perfect opportunities to enjoy good food and a change of scenery. Back at the Villa, attendees got their hands dirty planting seedlings during a Bunnings visit, combining creativity with a little bit of gardening fun.

Physio stretches have kept everyone active, helping to maintain strength, balance, and mobility while also giving everyone a chance to join in some gentle exercise together

With music, outings, celebrations, and handson activities, Villa Dalmacia continues to be a place where attendees can stay engaged, try new things, and enjoy time together

The Accordion Man returns!

The Accordion Man made a very welcome return to the Villa, and it didn’t take long for the room to come to life

Taking everyone on a musical trip around the world, he played a mix of songs from different countries, with plenty of familiar tunes along the way. There was lots of toe tapping, a few singalongs, and more than a few smiles as the music got everyone involved

It’s always a favourite visit, and this one was no different – great music, a great atmosphere, and a fun way to spend the day together

Staff Profile Highlight: Giancarlo Lelli

We are delighted to welcome our new chef, Giancarlo Lelli, to the Villa Dalmacia family Since joining us, Giancarlo has brought skill, passion, and a warm Italian spirit to our kitchen As a qualified chef, he has been preparing a range of delicious meals that have especially thrilled our Italian attendees, who recognise and appreciate the authentic flavours he creates

Originally from Lake Como, Giancarlo came to Australia 14 years ago After spending time exploring Sydney and Melbourne, he eventually made his way to Dunsborough, where he lived and worked for several years His culinary journey then took him to the mines, where he worked as a fly-in fly-out chef an experience that strengthened both his versatility and his love for cooking for diverse communities.

Now settled in Perth, Giancarlo has quickly become a wonderful addition to the Villa He has embraced our clients with warmth and enthusiasm, and they have been just as excited to welcome him especially those who enjoy exchanging Italian stories, memories, and regional flavours.

Giancarlo’s passion for good food and good company shines through each day, and we are thrilled to have him as part of our team
