Staff Profile Highlight: Sharon Kennedy
We are excited to welcome Sharon Kennedy as the new Day Centre Coordinator at Villa Dalmacia Day Centre Sharon brings with her a wealth of experience, warmth, and a genuine passion for aged care Sharon joins us from Yaandina Aged Care in the Pilbara, where she worked as a Wellness and Lifestyle Officer supporting a remote community Now back in Perth, she’s ready to make her mark at the Villa.
When asked to describe a typical day at Villa Dalmacia, Sharon lights up:
“The Villa is the social capital of Spearwood It’s a caring place where everyone feels comfortable and supported A standard day starts with picking up our participants, sharing morning tea, and diving into activities – from music, exercise and outings to games and, of course, Bingo! We share lunch together, enjoy a little more Bingo, then it’s time to head home ”
For Sharon, the most rewarding part of the role is clear: “The people – both clients and staff Our team is focused on the best interests and cultural needs of our participants, and this shines through every day Seeing our participants engaged, enthusiastic, and benefiting from being part of the community here at the Villa is truly special ”
Outside of work, Sharon loves music – you might even catch her pulling out the guitar for a singalong – and she’s enjoying re-exploring Perth after her time in the Pilbara
When it comes to food at the Villa, Sharon says choosing a favourite is impossible:
“The food here is always amazing, and whether it’s Italian, Croatian or Portuguese, the flavours and generosity are outstanding ”
We’re thrilled to have Sharon on board and look forward to the energy, creativity, and care she brings to Villa Dalmacia
