It’s been a lively few months here at the Villa, with plenty of activity and connection filling our days From getting creative during our regular craft sessions to enjoying delicious outings like our recent lunch at the local North Lake Chinese restaurant, there’s always something to look forward to
We’ve also had the joy of welcoming the Sparrows children back for some wonderful intergenerational play their energy always brings big smiles to our group
A special highlight was our Bunnings incursion, where attendees rolled up their sleeves to create handmade trays during a fun and handson morning And for those who enjoy time in the kitchen, our one-on-one cooking sessions with our talented cook, Del, have been a real treat offering a chance to share
recipes, swap stories, and enjoy something delicious at the end!

Recent happenings at Villa Dalmacia
There’s never a dull moment at Villa Dalmacia, and the past few months have been full of laughter, creativity, and connection.
A major highlight has been the visits from the Sparrows Early Learning children The joy on everyone’s faces – young and old – is truly special. Watching the children and attendees play, chat, and share stories is a beautiful reminder of the power of intergenerational friendship
We’ve also been busy with hands-on craft sessions A big thank you to the Bunnings team who visited for a special incursion – they brought everything we needed to decorate trays, and we
had with plenty of chatter and cheeky laughs along the way.
We’ve enjoyed our regular Zumba sessions – a fun way to stay active and lift our spirits! With music pumping and smiles all around, it’s quickly become a favourite on the calendar
Our recent outing to Northlake Chinese Restaurant was another standout – delicious food, good company, and lots of laughs

A very special 90 birthday to remember th
Our lovely attendees recently enjoyed a special day out at a local Chinese restaurant and it was no ordinary lunch!
We gathered to celebra milestone: Mrs Passalaq a generous gesture, she t delicious meal to mark the occasion
The day was filled with laughter, great food, and joyful celebration Happy 90th birthday, Mrs Passalaqua what a wonderful way to honour such a significant milestone!
Welcome Sharon!
We’re delighted to welcome Sharon Kennedy to the Villa Dalmacia family as our new Day Centre Coordinator!
Sharon brings with her a wealth of experience in aged care and a genuine passion for supporting older people to live connected, fulfilling lives She’s warm, approachable, and already making a wonderful impression on both staff and attendees
She’s looking forward to getting to know everyone, hearing your stories, and working together to keep the Day Centre a fun, welcoming, and engaging place for all

Staff Profile Highlight: Margherita Perroni
Margherita has been a much-loved member of the Villa Dalmacia Day Centre team for the past 10 years With her Italian heritage and vibrant personality, she brings warmth, energy, and a strong sense of community to everything she does.
Versatile and deeply dedicated, Margherita is the mastermind behind a wide variety of engaging activities that keep our clients smiling and connected Whether it’s a spirited game of bingo or a casual chat over morning tea, she knows just how to brighten someone’s day
Every morning, Margherita starts the day right by brewing what many consider to be the best Italian coffee around – a daily ritual that adds a little taste of home and a lot of joy for our attendees
Fluent in both English and Italian, Margherita connects effortlessly with clients from all backgrounds, often bringing laughter with her quick wit and perfectly timed jokes For her, the real reward is in the relationships she’s built – watching clients grow older alongside her and sharing in their stories and milestones
Margherita truly loves what she does, and it shows in every moment she shares with the Villa family We’re so lucky to have her as part of the team
Attendee Spotlight
This edition, we’re shining the spotlight on one of our muchloved attendees Tonka!
Originally from the beautiful island of Lastovo in Croatia, Tonka has been part of the Villa Dalmacia community for over five years In that time, she’s formed strong friendships with many of our other Croatian attendees, some of whom come from nearby islands and towns
Tonka enjoys nothing more than spending the day at the centre catching up with friends, sharing stories, and enjoying the company of familiar faces Her warmth, laughter and kind spirit make her a joy to have around and we’re so glad to have her as part of our Villa Dalmacia family!
Farewell Mandy
We say a fond farewell to our Day Centre Coordinator, Mandy In her time at the Villa, Mandy helped organise engaging activities and outings We wish her all the very best in her next chapter
We want to assure our clients and their families that Villa Dalmacia continues to operate as usual Our dedicated team is still here to provide the same friendly, highquality service and meaningful experiences our attendees enjoy each day

Upcoming Activities
The next few months are set to be full of lots of fantastic activities at Villa Dalmacia Day Centre! There’s something for everyone, so be sure to mark your calendars and join in the excitement We are currently planning a Christmas in July event, so stay tuned for more details Plus, we have some wonderful outings coming up: a lunch at Market City Tavern on the 16th of July and a visit to Rose Valley Cheese Farm on the 29th of July.
We also look forward to once again welcoming back our little friends from Sparrows, as well as an additional Bunnings incursion after last month’s successful activity
Our much-beloved priest, Father Giancarlo, is currently on a well-deserved break visiting family in Italy Father Giancarlo will be back at the end of July, and we look forward to seeing his smiling face again once Mass recommences shortly after
