BOOK NOW FOR OUR GIANT SPECTACULAR!

A CORNWALL PLAYHOUSE PRODUCTION

WELCOME – DYNNARGH

Welcome to the latest edition of our brochure –we’ve titled it ‘summer’, but in truth we’re quietly inviting you to plot your route to Christmas (where a magical beanstalk lies in wait) and beyond, as we continue to shape our programme of shows, concerts, talks and events on the Cornwall Playhouse stage.

Of course we’re so much more than a stage. Beyond these pages, if you keep an eye on our website and social feeds, you’ll see our vital work as a charity - in the community, nurturing Cornish creatives and young people through our Husa and Get Creative initiatives - continues apace. We’re here to make Cornwall a better place. With the support of members, donors, sponsors and funders, this mission continues to drive us forwards.

FEE-FI-FO-FUM, A FESTIVE TREAT FOR EVERYONE!

In 2024 the Cornwall Playhouse is going green with a giant production of this fairytale classic – perfect for kids of all ages and anyone who’s ever dreamed of striking it rich.

The team who brought you Peter Pan in 2023 return with hapless Jack, his dear old Mum and their beloved cow as they throw caution (and magic beans) to the wind. Join our heroes as they head for the clouds to explore a mysterious beanstalk that’s taken root faster than a Kernow cabbage. Where will the plant lead, can Jack save the family’s fortunes and who last sharpened the axe?

Expect giants, golden eggs, a sackful of plant-based jokes and more festive fun than you can shake a beanstalk at, as we set off on an unforgettable feelgood adventure.

A s you browse, you’ll find more than a hundred Cornwall Playhouse shows listed in these pages – the choice is broad, your options dizzying! If I were to draw your eye to a small selection, perhaps it would include Jesus Christ Superstar. Legendary lyricist Sir Tim Rice is Honorary President of HfC, and we can’t wait to see his work back on our stage. We also eagerly await the welcome return of English Touring Opera in May, which together with many other concerts and gigs illustrates our diverse music offering continuing to blossom. Meanwhile we’re delighted to see Dear Evan Hansen arrive on our stage this autumn after blockbuster runs on Broadway and in the West End. We look forward to welcoming you back soon, and to our loyal friends, thank you for your ongoing support.
