The Scholarship Team of Chan Sui Kau Hall organised a fruitful trip to the Hong Kong Wetland Park
On 2nd December, 2023, all the participants met at the afternoon and went on their exploratory road. At first, there was an introduction for the following adventure. After that, they started their tour and learned about various things including ecosystem of the wetlands, stages of ecological succession, different species of wetland plants, and the conservation of crocodiles. Finally, they left at 3.30pm.
Although this event only lasted for 1.5 hours, everyone had acquired new knowledge about the environment and gained great entertainment staying closer to nature. There were some staff introducing and explaining the attractions. Participants could also look at the descriptions placed there. The weather was comfortable on that day. Participants enjoyed the gorgeous view and breathe the fresh air freely in such a wonderland. It was amazing to boundless sky in the reflection of the limid sea. Looking at the lush meadow was relaxing and helped them get away from the heavy and stressful tasks.
The visit to the Hong Kong Wetland Park offered an escape from the hustle and bustle. As we all know, Hong Kong is a busy and noisy city. Our hall residents may have some pressure due to various reasons. It is a great chance for them to chill out and get a better mood.

We all know that February without Valentine’s Day is just incomplete. Hence, the Chan Sui Kau Hall scholarship team organized a Sweet Valentine's event on the 23rd and 24th of February 2024, spanning two memorable days of fun-filled activities.
The event kicked off with the Secret Love Letter activity, allowing residents to express their affection for one another. Whether it was their partner, roomie, neighbor, RT, or even the RM, everyone had the chance to write heartfelt letters. To add a touch of creativity, participants could embellish their letters with various stickers and even include a piece of chocolate. They had the option to either slip the letters into the recipient's mailbox discreetly or personally hand them over.
The following day brought another delightful activity: cookie making! With chocolate chip cookies on the menu, participants eagerly joined forces in the kitchen. From weighing the ingredients to mixing the dough, shaping the cookies, and baking them to perfection, the process was a shared experience. The event lasted around two hours, including the baking time. As the tantalizing aroma filled the air, anticipation grew. Finally, the participants savored the mouthwatering outcome, relishing the taste of freshly baked cookies. They even had the joy of taking home a batch to share with others or savor as a personal treat.
This event aimed to remind residents of the importance of appreciating those around them, even amidst the chaos of our busy lives. Through these small gestures, a ripple of joy and gratitude could be felt throughout the hall. Who knows? A simple act of kindness might just brighten someone's day and create lasting memories.

The first-aid workshop commenced with an insightful lecture where the students were enlightened with fundamental knowledge crucial for administering initial medical assistance. The lecturer adeptly navigated through the essentials, covering topics ranging from CPR techniques to wound management, empowering the attendees with skills vital for handling emergency situations.

However, the workshop transcended mere theoretical learning as the scene simulations and roleplay exercises breathed life into the acquired knowledge. Students found themselves thrust into realistic scenarios, tasked with making split-second decisions and executing appropriate first-aid procedures.
Through these immersive experiences, participants not only solidified their understanding of theoretical concepts but also honed their practical skills under pressure. The simulation allowed for a dynamic learning environment where mistakes could be made and corrected, fostering a deeper comprehension of the subject matter. By the workshop's conclusion, students emerged equipped with both the theoretical understanding and practical proficiency necessary to respond effectively in real-life emergencies, underscoring the workshop's invaluable contribution to their overall preparedness and confidence in administering first aid.
