The Southeastern Livestock Exposition (SLE) is a nonprofit organization that exists to support the future of agriculture, meaning that proceeds from SLE fundraising efforts are poured into youth through support of livestock expos, livestock judging contests, FFA and 4-H competitions, and scholarships. The SLE also invests into youth rodeo athletes in hopes that they will continue down the rodeo pathway and return to the Garrett Coliseum to compete as a ProRodeo athlete one day. This big girl needed restarted after her racing career and is now healthy, happy, and confident. She LOVES to run! We started her on barrels, and she enjoyed it, but she still needs a lot of work on her turns. She’s got the speed, but she needs the finesse. She rides English and Western so could go either way and enjoys jumping. She has had one colt, so could be a broodmare if you wish. We have taken a different direction in our breeding program, so looking for the next home to take this big hearted nice mare into her next career. P.W. has years of experience on the trails and ranch work, making him a great addition to any ranch. He is quiet, solid, and confident on the trails and has weekly experience working in the stockyard. On the ranch, P.W. is incredibly handy checking, gathering, sorting, pasture roping, and doctoring cattle, often with me working alone. He has a lot of run and exceptional rate when roping a cow. P.W. can side pass to open and close gates and will drag anything you dally to the saddle horn. Don’t let his size fool you, he can and will hold even the biggest bulls. He always gives his best, showing a lot of heart. We’ve put a lot of time into his training, including two months of professional training with Ethan Dicks at Deseret Ranch, where he sorted and doctored thousands of cattle. He is versatile, dependable, respectful and soft, with lots of feel on the ground and in the saddle. He has a nice soft trot, and he will lope both leads on cue with simple, easy transitions. He neck reins, and side passes, responds to leg cues, and has a good stop, nice turnaround and rides bridleless. P.W. is great with traffic, machinery, fireworks and gunfire, bullwhips, wildlife, flags, and dogs. He has even been ridden in multiple parades! P.W. is simple and easy to ride. He has been ridden by a novice, 7-year-old little girl, and has given pony rides to younger children. P.W. knows how to put in a hard day’s work but will happily enjoy a leisure ride down the trail. She’s been used to pen back cattle at the local sale barn, been on lots of solo and group trail rides, been around traffic, and excelled in her arena work. Hot Sauce is a 5-year-old gelding with plenty of experience working on the ranch. He has been used for penning, sorting, and loading yearlings. He has roped and dragged cows on the trailer and has helped with tagging baby calves. In the summer of 2023, Hot Sauce was hauled around the country to rodeos, where he dragged bulls and calves out of the arena.
Hot Sauce is easy to catch, shoe, loads, and ties with no issues. He’s smooth, stout, and has the ability to watch a cow—with all the qualities needed to succeed in any direction you choose. I’ve also let my kids ride him around the round pen, though they haven’t yet been turned loose on him outside. Goose is a 5-year-old gelding standing just shy of 15 hands but with plenty of muscle and a strong build. He has great bone structure and solid feet. I’ve owned him since he was a young colt, purchasing him from the Bath Brothers Ranch in Laramie, Wyoming. He has proven himself to be a reliable, hardworking horse.
As a 4-year-old, Goose worked in a Wyoming backcountry hunting camp, where he packed everything from hay bales and bedrolls to meat and antlers, leading the pack strings through the Rocky Mountains for the entire 2024 hunting season (64 days).
Goose is a fast learner and spent November-December of 2024 with a trainer, where he mastered the basics, including backing, side passing, and loping small circles. He is also comfortable riding bareback and has plenty of get-up-and-go.
At just five years old, Goose has plenty of potential for growth, and his teeth have been professionally maintained by Tyler Dees. He’s accustomed to gunshots, big dead bull elk, and is always eager to meet anyone he encounters. Goose is an adaptable partner for any task.

Colonel is absolutely the best horse I have ever owned. I purchased him in UP, Michigan near the Canada line when he was 4-months old. We have loved, pampered, and played with him for the last 4-years. He has had 12-months of professional training. I have shown him in halter, showmanship, walk-trot, and western pleasure.
