BEFORE YOUR SPRAY TAN 48-24 hours Before your appointment Shower with a non-moisturizing body wash before the spray tanning. Exfoliation is necessary before the spray tanning application. Scrubbing will cleanse the skin and removes dry and dead skin cells.Do not use an oil-based exfoliator as the oil left on the skin may act as barrier and affect the results. Do any beauty treatments before your spray tan not after. Shave or wax a day before the spray tanning appointment . Your pores should be closed during the application process so that you don’t obtain a spotty tan.
DAY OF YOUR SPRAY TAN Don’t use any products like deodorants, perfumes, lotions, moisturisers, or make-up before the session. Applying these products to the skin can create unwanted results after you have been spray tanned. Wear dark loose clothes for your appointment or take them for after your tan.
AFTER YOUR SPRAY TAN For your first post-tan shower, please note that the bronzer is designed to wash off, and you will see the brown bronzer coming off with the water. This is NOT your tan, your tan is still developing, this is only the bronzer which had the sole purpose of letting us see where on your body we had sprayed and where we had not, pat yourself dry, do not rub.
AFTER YOUR SP TAN After your first shower & days to follow: 1. Moisturise twice daily after showering as this will reduce the rate at which your skin exfoliates keeping your tan looking better for longer. We also recommend that you try Naked tan products every second day to extend the life of your tan. 2. Avoid activities that naturally exfoliate your skin such as long baths, spas, extended swimming sessions, waxing and rubbing with a towel (pat dry only). 3. Do not use lotions or products that are designed to exfoliate your skin. Opt for a PH neutral body wash or use an SLS free body wash such as Naked tan shower products.
YAY OR NAY? Use Sunscreen – your spray tan does not contain a sunscreen so please make sure you apply sunscreen to prevent sunburn when outdoors.
