We are honored and thrilled to host one of the core Research Workshops, where passionate medical students and researchers from all over the world meet for fruitful sessions and discussions, for networking and exchanging cultures, and above all for their passion towards gaining research skills and learning from their peers.

It is our honor to contribute to the vision and mission of the SCORE, through organizing this event and making it one of the best and unforgettable experiences for everyone.

ABOUT MOROCCO A MOSAIC OF CULTURE & BEAUTY Morocco is a captivating country where the golden sands of the Sahara meet the blue waters of the Atlantic Ocean and the Mediterranean Sea. Despite its relatively small size, Morocco offers an extraordinary blend of natural beauty, historic richness, and cultural vibrancy. Located in North Africa, just 14 km from Spain across the Strait of Gibraltar, it serves as a gateway between Europe and the Arab world.

MONEY AND PRICES The Moroccan dirham (MAD) is the currency of Morocco. It is subdivided into 100 centimes. Its approximate current exchange rate is:

1 EURO = 10.47 MAD 1 USD = 9.63 MAD Please be aware that currency exchange rates are fluid; for the most up-todate conversions, we recommend checking a live currency converter such as those found on XE.com or Wise.com In Morocco, you can only pay with Moroccan dirhams. So you have to change your money in any bank upon arrival, or it is also possible to withdraw money from ATMs using VISA or MASTERCARD. You can exchange currency at: Banks: These often offer reliable exchange rates.

Exchange bureaus: Found in cities and tourist areas.

Airports: While convenient, airport exchange rates tend to be less favorable.

Some hotels: May offer exchange services, but rates can vary.

Tips for Exchanging: Compare exchange rates: Rates can differ significantly between locations.

Be aware of fees: Some exchange services may charge commission.

Keep exchange receipts: It's sometimes required to show these when exchanging leftover Dirhams back to your home currency upon departure.

Avoid exchanging large amounts of money at hotels, or airports, because the rates are generally very bad.

MEANS OF TRAVEL The best way to get to Morocco is by plane. The biggest airport with the most variety of airline companies landing in it is Mohammed V International Airport in Casablanca.

VISA AVAILABILITY As of July 10, 2022, Morocco introduced an e-Visa system to streamline the visa application process. Citizens from many countries can apply for an e-Visa online, provided they meet certain criteria, such as holding a valid visa or residence permit from specific countries or participating in certain events.
