SOUTH SECTION
oughout my schooling experiences, I have done some jects outside of studio assignments and would like to share se here. Throughout many of these, you will see my love for ating and curating with my hands. I love not only to design to make. It give me a sense of accomplishment and isfaction.
This pendant light is inspired by architect Zaha Hadid. She is known for her curvilinear forms. She often uses concrete, glass, and steel. I loved the “drooping” aspect of the building below and took inspiration from that.
HEYDAR ALIYEV CENTRE
I considered function when creating this piece of furniture. Through the process of making this, I learned grain direction, joinery, and how to design furniture.
Project Type - Residental
Location - New Jersey
Concept/Style - Transitional style with a color palette of soothing blues and earth tones.
Overall Goal - Create a fun and safe feeling space for this adjusting family though color palette, functional furnishings, and space planning.
This space is meant for this family of 5 to relax, play games, and acts as an entrance from the back pool area. Durability in fabric was a big factor when designing this area.
The dining room was meant to be a flexible space that is suited for the residents as well as incoming guests. This is shown through furnishing. The table expands and the benches double as storage.
The main bedroom is grounding and a safe space. We took time to select a soothing color palette as well as working with the client on a mattress that best suited them.
