SEPTEMBER/OCTOBER

Foundation Day

Sunday  September

Haileybury Campus 10.0 am

Old Haileyburians (OHs) from across the years are invited to reconnect with peers and relive school memories. Starting with a Chapel service, the day will include a tour of the School including the refurbished library and your old House, followed by lunch on Pavilion. OHs will compete against pupils in Cricket, Hockey, Lacrosse and Football fixtures.

Sung Eucharist for Michaelmas

Wednesday 24 September

Chapel 8.0 pm

Join us for the first Eucharist of the academic year! The Choir will lift their voices in song as we celebrate the feast of St. Michael.

Concert at St. Mary’s, Westmill

Thursday 25 September

St. Mary’s, Westmill 7.3 pm

A concert given by small ensembles, senior soloists and the Chamber Choir as part of Buntingford Live.

Paul Bowden is Honorary Professor of International Environmental and Energy Law and Corporate Responsibility at Nottingham Trent University, and contributed to the research behind the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights

Connect your Futures: The Great AI Reinvention

Tuesday 4 November

A thought-proking session exploring how Artificial Intelligence is reshaping every career and industry.

Hosted by our Assistant Head of Digital Strategy and Learning, Tom Wade, this event will explore insights into the opportunities, challenges and ethical dilemmas posed by AI, as well as practical perspectives.

Requiem Eucharist for All Souls

Chapel Service

Wednesday 5 November Chapel 8.00 pm

In this annual service we remember and pray for our departed loved ones. The service features beautiful music and ancient ritual to inspire us in our act of remembering them. The Choir will be singing Fauré’s Requiem.

Dr Michael Collins is Associate Professor of Modern and Contemporary British History at UCL, specialising in migration, empire, and the cultural history of postwar Britain.

Concert Band, Big Band and other ensembles take centre stage in support of Haileybury Youth Trust.

An opportunity to hear musicians from Lower School, Removes and Middles perform in the beauty of Bradby Hall and our Music Atrium.

emoves Art Exhibition

Monday 24 November

SciTech 6.00 pm

The Removes VAP pupils have completed a mini Foundation Diploma–style course, exploring a wide range of media and artistic processes. Building on compositional techniques inspired by Paul Cézanne and emphasising high-quality technical skills, pupils have experimented with a diverse range of materials, building on the foundations laid in LS1 and LS2. This exhibition showcases the best works created by each pupil during this 9-week course.

Ayckbourn Theatre

When Abigail is turned out of the Proctors’ household, she begins a campaign against Elizabeth that shakes the very foundations of the small Salem community and the pillars of faith and morality that once held its members together.

Set in a post-nuclear survivalist future, this ambitious production explores the devastating cost of truth in a world where the crowd holds the power and outsiders are disbelieved.
