Lower School Art Exhibition

Thursday 24 April SciTech 6.00 pm

Lower school pupils have been exploring a diverse range of materials, developing their understanding of the fundamental elements so that they demonstrate a strong understanding of shape and form. The works shown are a collection of classwork and optional activities in pencil, paint, print and sculpture. The works created have been informed by a diverse range of artists and artistic styles demonstrating the wide variety of techniques and processes the department has to offer.

Young Pip can’t wait to distance himself from his humble origins, trying to make himself worthy of the cruel Estella’s affections. A tale of growing up, friendship and how we change ourselves to fit in.

A lively ensemble of young actors take on this dynamic and fresh adaptation of Charles Dickens’ seminal work, with new songs and incidental music commissioned by the School, and composed by Luke Potter.

This service is the culmination of our Arts Week and will include poetry, drama and a wide variety of music. The Choir will sing Benjamin Britten’s arrangement of Psalm 100 and Ralph Vaughan Williams’ ‘Let all the world in every corner sing’. All parents, guardians and friends are welcome.

Please join us for Speech Day to celebrate another year of academic and co-curricular endeavours and achievements at Haileybury. We welcome all parents, guardians, pupils and staff to a day of art, music, lunch and cricket.

This black tie event for Upper Sixth pupils and their parents will be a wonderful celebration of their achievements and successes during their time here at Haileybury. Tickets will be available to book online at haileybury.com/events, on a first come, first served basis, from Friday 25 April.
