Un-Wind Stress Relief Education and Research Center

Group

Unwind is a stress relief center that is focused on providing an environment to de-stress. Conveniently placed in the heart of Atlanta, Unwind is formed by the circulation paths of pedestrians, and receives a lot of foot traffic from the East Atlanta belt line.

Site Influences

Sun Studies

The orange is the sun’s summer solstice and the green lines indicate the sun’s winter solstice

Pedestrian circulation is comming primarily from the Beltline and Virgina. Vehicular circulation is coming primarily off of Monroe. Pedestrian circulation creates the primary form of Unwind.

4) The carved out form is used to shape each of our floors. The bottom level is the smallest to make Unwide seem lightweight and more welcoming

The programatic function of our exhibit, cafe, and classes which is a common practice to calm someone down things you can hear, 2 things that you can smell, classes are based on sensory and the 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, grounding technique down that is overwhelmed.
