Inclusive Play HAGS have consulted with internationally-renowned experts in accessible and inclusive play to help us develop an inclusive play design guide for our play space designers. Throughout Europe, our designers understand the needs of all generations, and all abilities, allowing them to design play areas where everyone can play together.

Inclusivity means giving everyone the chance to play, whether they have learning disabilities, visual or physical impairments or other conditions, such as epilepsy. This could mean designing for step free access, providing areas of shelter or shade, or even providing spaces for service animals – whatever your needs and constraints, HAGS can work with you to maximise the inclusive value of your play space.

We are fully committed to providing play areas which can be enjoyed by all, which is why creating inclusive equipment is at the heart of HAGS product innovation.

Our most popular products for inclusive schemes provide a rich range of physical, sensory, and social play values and our modular multi-play systems, UniPlay and UniMini are a big hit for inclusive spaces, allowing for customisation to fit any space.

Kingsland Primary School, UK - hags.com/kingsland-school We thoroughly enjoyed collaborating with this school to design three playgrounds that supports the well-being and development of their students who have a number of learning disabilities. The combination of products chosen, and carefully designed layouts make the children feel safe while providing a stimulating play experience.

Pirate Themed Playground, Spain - hags.com/burgos The Spanish city of Burgos is known for its efforts in integrating all citizens regardless of their abilities. HAGS was chosen to undertake this project due to our ability and expertise in designing and installing inclusive playgrounds.

Treehouse Themed Playground, Sweden - hags.com/uppsala This fantastic playground in the city of Uppsala, Sweden, was incredibly popular on the opening event. All the children enjoyed the numerous pieces of inclusive play equipment available, such as the Spinmee Roundabout. The treehouse-themed customised UniPlay, was designed to ensure that it met inclusive and accessibility needs as well as giving a natural look and feel.

Steel or Timber Posts Choose between either bark brown engineered pine with galvanised steel footings for a natural look or powder coated/stainless steel posts for maximum durability.

Timber or HPL Panels Whether you decide to go for the original timber look or durable HPL panels, both options are available in brown, red or green colours in a slatted design.

Decks in Timber or HPL Complete the natural look with bark brown timber decks or select the hard wearing HPL option in black with a non-slip surface in square or triangular shapes, depending on the unit you choose.

Bicycle Shelters & Accessories

Our bicycle garages can be ordered in various designs and colour combinations. The metal parts are supplied as standard hot-dip galvanised. The wooden slat screens used in the Stella model are made of pine and treated with tar black linseed oil and top coat. The Capella model screens are hot-dip galvanised square pipe and the Nova has expanded metal screens.

In addition to these options, the metal can be painted in any RAL or NCS colours (at additional cost). The slats can also be lacquered or linseed oiled with other colour pigments, such as silver grey or bark brown. Roofs can be coated with plant sedum as an additional option. The flexible modular system enables an infinite number of possible combinations and number of bicycle stands.
