Summer 2025 Newsletter

The Lowdown Welcome Welcome to the latest edition of our newsletter, where we’re excited to share a wide range of updates and milestones from across the business. Firstly, we bid a fond farewell to valued members of the team, Mandy and Chris, who are heading into a well-deserved retirement. At the same time, we’re delighted to welcome several new faces to the team, both in client services and financial advice— each bringing new energy and expertise. We also want to alert you to the rise in cloning fraud and scam activity, and share some practical tips to help you stay vigilant and protected. Looking ahead, we’re inviting clients and friends to join us for a summer walk up Moel Famau followed by food and drinks at Pen Y Bont Farm—everyone is welcome, including four-legged friends! There’s also an exciting update on Grace and Chantel’s Hyrox fitness challenge, and we’re celebrating recent exam success within the team. We’re particularly proud to announce our sponsorship of Paralympian Nathan Maguire, and reflect on the incredible impact of our recent workplace financial education sessions, which are helping people take control of their financial futures. Thank you for reading—and for being part of our journey. Best wishes,

Warren Hadlow, Director

STAFF NEWS

Cheers to Mandy & Chris in their Retirement! We’d like to extend our warmest wishes and heartfelt thanks to two of our long-standing financial advisers, Mandy Lewis and Chris Bromiley, who are now retiring after many years of dedicated service. Both have played a vital role in supporting our clients and contributing to the growth and success of the business. Their professionalism, integrity, and commitment to putting clients first have made a lasting impact. Over the years, they’ve helped hundreds of clients plan for their futures with confidence, providing trusted advice and building lasting relationships. Their thoughtful, caring approach has been truly appreciated by all who have worked with them. As they move into this next chapter, we know they’ll take the same positivity and purpose into retirement that they brought to work every day. While we will miss their presence in the office, we’re excited for what lies ahead for them. We wish them both a very happy, healthy, and well-earned retirement, and we thank them sincerely for everything they’ve done for the team and our clients. Their dedication will remain a valued part of our story for years to come.

MARKET NEWS

Stay Scam Aware We’d like to make you aware of a growing trend in business cloning fraud, where scammers impersonate legitimate companies in order to deceive and steal sensitive information or money. These fraudulent operations often use names, branding, email addresses, and even cloned websites that closely resemble genuine firms—making it increasingly difficult to spot the difference. One particularly worrying tactic is website cloning, where a fake version of a real business’s website is created to look almost identical. Scammers may also call, send emails or messages pretending to be from reputable firms, encouraging recipients to click on links, provide login details, or transfer funds urgently. Please remain cautious when receiving unexpected communication appearing to come from any business, including ours. Double-check the sender’s email address, avoid clicking suspicious links, and never share personal or financial information without verifying the source. If you’re ever unsure whether a message or website is genuine, contact us directly using the details listed on our official website. Your security is our top priority. Staying alert and questioning anything that feels “off” can make all the difference in protecting yourself against fraud.

Road to Success We’re proud to share that Paraplanner, Holly Thomas, is well on her way to completing her Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning having recently completed the R03 Personal Taxation exam. Balancing work and study, as well as a young family, is no small feat, and Holly has shown exceptional commitment and determination throughout her journey. Her success so far is a testament to her hard work and dedication to continued professional development. With two exams left, we know she’ll continue to thrive and we know we’ll be seeing her fully qualified in no time! Please join us in congratulating Holly on her fantastic progress!

Our relationship with Nathan began in December when he joined us at a team meeting to share his remarkable journey—from a life-changing illness at a young age to representing Great Britain on the global stage. His story of overcoming adversity, setting clear goals, and staying committed to performance truly inspired us all. As a business focused on helping people set goals, track progress, and adjust plans when needed, we see a strong alignment between what we do for our clients and what Nathan does in his athletic career. Whether it’s planning for a comfortable retirement or preparing for a major championship, success lies in having a plan, reviewing performance, and staying on track— something Nathan lives and breathes in his training and racing. Nathan has already made a strong start to the 2025 season. In the London Marathon, he finished 10th in the Men’s Elite Wheelchair category, competing alongside the world’s best. He followed this with strong performances at both the Swiss Grand Prix and the Swiss Nationals, where he achieved incredible results: Swiss Grand Prix 100m 400m

These sessions are designed to be clear, engaging, and practical—covering key areas such as budgeting, saving, investment planning, and understanding tax. Each session is tailored to the audience, ensuring that whether someone is just starting their financial journey or planning for retirement, they leave with relevant, useful insights. At the heart of our business is a commitment to financial education and empowerment. We believe everyone should have access to straightforward and easy-tounderstand financial guidance—especially in the workplace, where money matters can feel overwhelming or easily overlooked. Feedback so far has been overwhelmingly positive, with attendees saying they feel better equipped to make decisions about their money, and more confident about their financial futures.

Testimonial from the Women’s Work & Wellbeing Summit: “Before the session, I felt uncertain about my finances, but afterwards, I felt empowered and confident. The Hadlow Edwards team were clear, approachable, and made complex topics easy to understand. Feedback from others was equally positive. Setting up the session was smooth and professional, and they were a pleasure to work with. I’d highly recommend them to anyone looking to build financial confidence, especially for women.” Liz Rowlands, Menopause Trainer & Coach Bringing financial education into the workplace is one of the most effective ways to support long-term financial wellbeing.
