980 Great West Road - Where We're At

980 GWR DESIGNING

THIS IS WHERE WE’RE AT

We want to share our emerging ideas for 980 GWR ahead of the next public consultation in April. Over the next two pages, you’ll find sketches showing different perspectives of the site. This page features an aerial view from the north, with the M4 curving past and

leading back towards London. At the centre, the coloured tower highlights the superstructure of the existing GSK building, illustrating how it connects with both the park and the wider proposed neighbourhood.

THE SITE’S FRONT DOOR

The two images here highlight key views and routes into and through the site. The boulevard above is a wide, pedestrian-friendly route leading into 980 GWR from the corner of the Great West Road and Boston Manor Road, connecting to Brentford Station and the high street. Below, beneath the M4, is a vision for a lively and welcoming public space—filled with cafés, markets, and places to eat, meet, and pause

BENEATH THE

THE NEIGHBOURHOOD PLACE

A view through the site, looking north across the public square at the heart of the development. We’re focused on creating plenty of public space to keep the proposals as open and inclusive as possible—whether you live here, work here, or are just visiting—come on in!

As the sun moves across the space, morning activities will ease into a lively afternoon and evening atmosphere, with diners and visitors enjoying the ambience and setting. From early coffee catch-ups to relaxed evening gatherings, this will be a space that shifts naturally through the day.
