Thank you to the Year 3/4 class at Hade Edge School for your wonderful artwork for the front cover of the Breeze. It was definitely challenging to choose a winner as they were all worthy.
Keep and eye out for the summer challenge edition!

Hello Hade Edge Community,
My name is Win Harrison you may have seen me and my wife Karen in and around the local areas especially in Holmfirth. Karen and I moved to Holmbridge from Essex in August 2013, to live near our daughter who was starting her own family and wanted to live near our grandchildren.

With such a big decision, adjusting to a slower pace of life took time and I needed to find a way to fit into new surroundings. So, after a meeting of solar minded people in Holmfirth that wanted to make our town a nicer place to live, the Holmepride name was agreed by the ensemble of local people.
However, like a lot of groups it needed leadership as it wasn't going to succeed without it. So, 9 months on from the initial meeting, I took over the group as Chair and Karen as Secretary as we knew we had to become a constituted group which allowed us to apply for funding using our groups bank account.
After 5 years, we are going strong with new volunteers coming forward of all ages, genders and abilities, everyone can join us by emailing us at hello@holmepride.co.uk or by message to :- facebook.com/holmepride come and join us.
I am extremely proud of what we have achieved and couldn't do it without the help of others.
