Day 4: Saturday November 12, 2022
Breakfast is at our hotel The morning is free for Shabbat services or relaxation. In the late morning a political panel will engage us on today’s most pressing geopolitical topics. Lunch is on your own. The afternoon offers an optional walking tour of nearby Neve Tzedek and the American Colony. A Havdalah service will take place in the early evening, followed by a visit to ANU: Museum of the Jewish People (formerly the Diaspora Museum) to enjoy the interactive audio-visual exhibits highlighting the history and culture of the Jewish people around the world — different tracks will be offered within the museum. Enjoy a relaxing drink and the view from the museum’s rooftop, featuring panoramic 360° views of Tel Aviv. We will be joined by the mayor of Tel Aviv, who brings greetings. Dinner is on your own.

Day 5: Sunday, November 13, 2022
Breakfast is at our at hotel. Tour the Agam Museum, showcasing six decades of the groundbreaking artist’s kinetic art. Meet with artist Yaakov Agam to better understand his vision and to hear his fascinating story. Experience the art of Yvel, legendary for its outstanding free-form design fashioned around nature’s finest resources. Lunch is followed by wine tasting or time for shopping. Travel to Jerusalem and say “Shehecheyanu” overlooking the Old City. Check into your convention hotel in Jerusalem and have time to refresh. The evening program may include a reception at Beit Hanassi,,the Israeli president’s house (TBD). Dinner is at Modern at the Israel Museum.

Breakfast is at your at hotel. An optional morning dedication of Round Building recognition will be held at Hadassah Ein Kerem for donors who have contributed a gift of $25,000 or more, followed by a free afternoon. Extensions First-Timers Tour

November 9-14, 2022
Day 1: Wednesday, November 9, 2022
After arrival and hotel transfer, we meet together in the hotel lobby at 3 pm. We begin with a walking tour exploring 800 years of history in Jaffa, including its Old City, alleyways and galleries. We meet with Jews and Arabs to learn about coexistence in Jaffa before enjoying a welcome dinner at the port.

Day 2: Thursday, November 10, 2022
After breakfast we travel to Neot Kedumim, the biblical nature reserve that connects the biosphere and Jewish history, to plant trees. Our next stop is Latrun, Israel’s moving Armored Corps museum and memorial. We discover the secrets of the Ayalon Institute, the underground ammunition factory that supplied Israel with bullets in the War of Independence. Next we tour the fascinating Israeli Museum at the Yitzhak Rabin Center, following the former prime minister’s life and accomplishments, before heading to Rabin Square, the site of his assassination. The rest of the evening is at leisure to enjoy the nightlife of Tel Aviv, the city that never stops.

Day 3: Friday, November 11, 2022
Following breakfast, we take a stroll through Neve Tzedek and along Independence Trail. to learn about the founding of both Tel Aviv and of Israel.
After a stop at the Taglit Center for Israeli Innovation, a showcase of Israeli ingenuity, we make our way to the Nachalat Binyamin outdoor craft fair for lunch (on your own) and free time. In the afternoon, we admire the Bauhausstyle architecture of Tel Aviv’s White City and discover the stories to be learned at the Trumpeldor Cemetery, home to many of the cultural and political founders of the city. Shabbat dinner is at our hotel.

Day 4: Saturday, November 12, 2022
We have a free day for Shabbat services and resting. After Shabbat there is an optional visit to ANU: Museum of the Jewish People (formerly the Diaspora Museum) to enjoy the interactive audio-visual exhibits highlighting the history and culture of the Jewish people around the world. After Havdalah we have a free evening in Tel Aviv.

Day 5: Sunday, November 13, 2022
After breakfast we are inspired at
Hadassah’s Meir Shfeyah Youth Aliyah
Village. Here, we meet with students and staff and tour the village, including its working farm. In Haifa, we stop for a panoramic overlook of the city and the beautiful B’hai Gardens, a UNESCO Heritage Site. In the Galilee we stop in Safed, the birthplace of Kabbalah, and stroll through the cobblestone streets to view the ancient synagogues and shop in the artist’s quarter. We end our day with a stop at a local winery before dinner at our kibbutz.

Day 6: Monday, November 14, 2022
Following breakfast we enjoy a jeep ride through the Golan Heights and stop in the Katzrin Talmudic Village for a taste of life as it was 1,800 years ago. Atop Mount Bental we observe the Syrian border and discuss the past and present conflicts facing Israel. We visit a nearby Druze village for lunch and home hospitality before traveling to Jerusalem via Route 6 to view Israel’s separation barrier. This evening we join the Hadassah convention!

We arrive in Israel and transfer to our hotel. We enjoy a welcome dinner in a local restaurant featuring the engaging speaker

women expressing their nuanced connection to the land of Israel, offering their unique way of reading Torah, creating new, individual poetic prayers and speaking out in the political arena.

Following breakfast we tour the fascinating Israeli Museum at the Yitzhak Rabin Center, following the former prime minister’s life and accomplishments. Making our way to the Carmel Market and the Nachalat Binyamin outdoor craft fair, we have time for lunch (on your own) and shopping. This evening we join for Kabbalat Shabbat on the beach (weather permitting) or at our hotel before enjoying a special Shabbat dinner at the hotel together with a local writer.

We have the morning free for Shabbat services. In the afternoon we enjoy a guided graffiti tour, where the colorful and edgy street art gives us a different perspective of Tel Aviv. Later we join for Havdalah and a coffee break before departing for a tour of a local artist gallery in Jaffa. The rest of the evening is at leisure.

Day 4
After breakfast we tour the Agam Museum, showcasing six decades of the groundbreaking artist’s kinetic art. Just outside Tel Aviv, we take a “recycling tour” atop a former landfill, now transformed into the Ariel Sharon Park. We end our day at ANU: Museum of the Jewish People (formerly the Diaspora Museum) where we enjoy a tour through the museum focusing on Jewish music, art and film. Following breakfast we explore the neighborhood of Neve Tzedek to learn about the founding of Tel Aviv. We continue to Maskit, a haute couture fashion house located in Jaffa, to learn about the unique Israeli take on high fashion and design. We visit the Tel Aviv Art Museum for a docent-led tour of the galleries. This evening we join the Hadassah convention!
