NEW MEMBERSHIP CAMPAIGN DRIVES MEMBERSHIP GROWTH

Despite the COVID-19 outbreak, which impacted our membership numbers in early 2020, Hadassah membership rebounded significantly at the end of the year. Thanks to a strong social media membership campaign — “Hadassah Is Here” — 469 new members joined during a three-month period that, in previous years, saw lower membership growth.

BOOSTS IN GIFTED MEMBERSHIPS

A Hanukkah membership gifting campaign drove above average results, reaching a total of 151 gifted memberships which accounted for 32% of total new memberships gained from October–December 2020. Membership gifting also accounted for a larger percentage of total new memberships in 2020 than in previous years.

In 2020, the National Young Women’s Cabinet, which is committed to developing strategies to attract and engage younger members, completed their two-year commitment with almost all 12 members either taking on new local or national volunteer roles or continuing in their current volunteer positions. Hadassah remains committed to fostering young women’s leadership. Moving into 2021, Evolve Hadassah: The Next Generation, will organize its first Evolve Forum, comprised of young Hadassah leaders who will meet virtually to network, form connections and share ideas to bring back to their local chapters and regions.

YOUNG LEADERS EMERGE FROM MOMENTUM PARTNERSHIP

Hadassah’s partnership with the Momentum group trips to Israel is bringing enthusiastic young leaders to Hadassah chapters around the country. After visiting Hadassah’s hospitals and Youth Aliyah villages in Israel,

seven out of ten Momentum trip participants took on

Hadassah leadership roles as board members of a new young women’s chapter located in the South Bay area of Los Angeles.

HADASSAH’S OUTREACH ENGAGES YOUNG WOMEN

Evolve Hadassah: The Next Generation organized outreach events to engage young Hadassah members in virtual program offerings, ranging from yoga classes to a discussion on Jewish heroines, with a total of 541 registrations.
