DISABILITY SUPPORT WORKER LEAP OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY

I'M A DISABILITY Support Worker with LEAP and my average working day is about caring for people. I love to work with participants, they make my working day. I've been doing this for 4 years and before that I was a chef. I've been a HACSU member for about two years and became a delegate to help members and staff in my workplace. As a delegate I'd like to think I've been able to help out when it comes to what’s right and what’s wrong and raise the issues where need be with either HACSU or management. I hope to increase the number of HACSU members we have so as to have a powerful voice within our workplace. When I'm not at work I love to go fishing, and my favourite book is The Old Man and the Sea by Earnest Hemingway. I'm passionate about being a support worker and like to give extra to help the participants have a better, happier life and would like all people to be the same.
