Y1 to 6
Spring Term reporting INFORMATION
This term, parents of students in Years 1 to 6 will receive a full written report that details strengths and targets for taught subjects as well as general information about your child as a learner. These will be available via Firefly on the following dates:
Years 4, 5 and 6
Years 1, 2 and 3
Friday 3 February
Friday 17 March
Once you have read your child’s report, there will be an opportunity to ask any specific questions relating to the report content in the following week. Details of how to submit such questions will be communicated in the newsletters published on the day when the reports are released.
If your child is in Rainbow, you will receive a written report at the end of the Summer Term and there will be an opportunity to meet with the class teacher, in person, one of the following dates and times:
Tuesday 14 March, 4pm to 6pm
Monday 20 March, 4pm to 6pm
Further details of how to book appointments will be shared in the newsletter before half term.
Reminders
Violin Playstrings ‘Concert’ INFORMATION
Year 2 were excited to start their Playstrings sessions with Mrs Boyle this week. Parents and guardians of children learning the violin this term are warmly invited to sit in on their child’s last session this term. This will take the form of an informal performance on Tuesday 21 March:

2 Alpha 1.55pm to 2.55pm
If you would like to attend the performance for your child’s class and see what they have been getting up to on the Playstrings course, please park in the car park and make your way directly to the Sime Hall, where you will be asked to sign in.
Y3 to 6
Forest School INFORMATION
We are very pleased to share with you that all the Key Stage 2 classes will continue to enjoy a Forest School experience during the Spring or the Summer term. Forest School provides a valuable opportunity for children to connect to nature and understand more about the world around them. Research has shown that it helps to foster teamwork, problem solving, risk taking, independent thinking and creativity alongside developing practical skills.

Sports Festival
Saturday 4 March
On Saturday 4 March, students in Years 3 to 6 are invited to attend a collaborative sporting morning with the Prep School where they will take part in activities centred around netball and football. Students will be grouped in mixed abilities and there will be opportunities for skill development, match play and fun. Further details will be shared in the newsletter closer to the event.
Library Online Resources for KS2 INFORMATION
Now we have settled into the new school term, we wanted to remind you of some of the online resources provided by the Library for our KS2 pupils. Please click here.
Year 4 production of Rock Bottom
WEDNESDAY 8 AND THURSDAY 9 FEBRUARY
Performances will be held at 2pm on Wednesday 8 February and at 9.15am on Thursday 9 February. For the Thursday performance refreshments in the dining hall will be available from 8.30am. Both performances will take place in the Performance Space please follow the signage from the car park.
Tickets can be reserved here for free from Friday 3 February at 9pm until Tuesday 7 February at 8am. Ticket allocations will be two per family for each performance. Please note that admission will be by ticket only and we cannot guarantee that there will be any spare seats on the day. We request that you do not photograph or make any recordings of the production, although photographs will be available for you to purchase, with the proceeds going to the St Catherine Parents’ Guild. A link to a recording of the play will be shared with you at the end of the term.
